  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Acts 2 - 10 years ago
Part 1 of 2 Hello Victor, This scripture pertains to us here in the 21st century because when you read verse 39 he continues talking For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call . The first part of that was to the Jews and their children. The later part of that same scripture is talking about all of us who are not Jews, but Gentiles. It did not have a number on it or a time limit. God is still calling people today, by way of people like myself who is spreading the true Word of God. Also the prophecy was spoken of in Joel 2 28 29 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams your young men shall see visions And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit . Isaiah 28 11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people . These two prophecies were stated many years before the day of Pentecost came in Acts 2 38. On the day of Pentecost was when these prophecies were fulfilled. Then after this many was added to the church even today. Read the testimony under St. John 14.
