Part 2 of 3 No, Jesus did not lie to the thief. When Jesus walked this Earth he was in the dispensation of the Law. The Grace Dispensation did not happen until after the Holy Ghost fell on the day of Pentecost. The thief did not have to speak in tongues as the spirit of God give utterance because there was no outpouring of the Holy Ghost during this time because Jesus had not ascended into heaven yet. However, now that we are up under the grace age, you must have it like Acts 2 38 says.
