    Part 2 of 3 No, Jesus did not lie to the thief. When Jesus walked this Earth he was in the dispensation of the Law, Romans 10 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth. Therefore, the thief was under the law not under Grace. He did not have to speak in tongues.
