Bible Discussion Thread

I want to clarify something so that it is understood where I stand on giving. God only requires man to pay tithes and offering. The Bible, from what I have read, does not require you to sell everything you have and give it away. In the case of the Apostles and those with them on the day of Pentecost, they were rejoicing and celebrating their salvation. If I can say it like this they where in church celebrating and sharing what they had with them with those who did not have as much and when the celebration was over they went their separate ways to preach the gospel. Remember a lot of those people who where there on the day of Pentecost some came from a long way so therefore they were not selfish. If someone was hungry I am sure they did not let them starve to death. In the end they shared in their joy of salvation.
