Part 3 of 3 In reference to 1 Corinthians 14 34 this scripture is not telling anybody not to speak in other tongues as the spirit give them utterance as stated in Acts 2 38. If I can say it like this, the women were being disruptive during the church assembly talking during service so Paul told them that the women should be silent during church service while someone else is speaking. If you read further down 1 Corinthians 14 39 Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues. This is referring to the prophesy of Isaiah 28 11 which leads us right back to Acts 2 38.
