    Hello Aleisa You are correct you do allow the Holy Ghost to lead you. However, the church of God was set up with leadership in mind Ephesians 4 11 And he gave some, apostles and some, prophets and some, evangelists and some, pastors and teachers So if the Pastor is a man of faith and the one being appointed is a man of faith then the members should respect the pastors choice in a leadership role, unless the one being appointed is proven to be unworthy.
