Hello Jacob read James 2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? not alone, Vs.18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. And yes the Bible does state that we shall live by faith but notice in Romans 1: 17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The JUST shall live by faith. The word JUST means the people of God and in Proverbs 11:7 When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust men perisheth. UNJUST means people who do not walk with Jesus 2Peter 2:9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: The Law was written for our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ and yes we are saved by grace after receiving the Holy Ghost.
