This chapter contains a gem of encouragement for the devout child of God in a convulsed world of crimes without end that spews unbelief and discouragement. It is the section of v. 13-17. If you have misgivings about embracing this book as revelation from the Lord because it is not 'canonical ' so to speak, mind that vs. 16-17 connects directly to the vision of Christ reigning through the Gospel of his glory in Isaiah 32:1-3 " Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment. 2 And a man the glorified Christ, our Savior shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land. 3 And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken. " Compare with v. 16-17 referred to above: "For the eyes of the Lord are upon them that love him, he is their mighty protection and strong stay, a defense from heat, and a cover from the sun at noon, a preservation from stumbling, and an help from falling. 17. He raiseth up the soul, and lighteneth the eyes: he giveth health, life, and blessing " Both passages are harbingers if blessing to the man of faith!
