    I think it means that in the face of adversity, we don't deny our faith in favour of an easy ride, prior to this it says some will 'wax cold', this is about going the full 9 yards. You align yourself to Christ and nothing should waver you from that, you need to endure to the end. God give us the strength to face our fears Amen.
