I don't mean to start something but there seem to be two different creation stories put side by side, or at least the same one told twice, but with differences. In chapter 1 for example, god makes no mention of the eve from a rib story, which makes me ponder whether or not that was originally there or added later. Second, in chpt. 1 God makes a firmmament between the waters and that becomes heaven, but heaven isn't a firmament is it? And what about the earth? Isn't that the firmament? Then god pulls all living creatures, winged birds and all out of the waters, but in chapter 2 he makes all living creatures out of the ground. These aren't a matter to be conceived as a misrepresentation of the aesthetics of the earth we know now, these appear to be plot holes ( for lack of a better term). Also in ch.1 the fowls and animals were created before man as were the tress, in chapter two they were created after so which is it? I really don't mean to be rude but these are as confusingly off to me as the contradicting stories of how Judas died in the gospels. I may be looking into these things too hard, but if this is the infallable truth, the absolutely incorruptable word of god given to man, then man must be an unfit interpreter.
