In Acts chapter 2:38 Peter was addressing Jews on the day of Pentecost, when they asked what must they do verse 37, He Peter said unto them, repent, and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. That was the requirement of the early church. Now, turn to Acts 10:44 While Peter yet spake these words the Holy Ghost fell on them which heard words. In Acts 2:38 the Jews had to repent, be baptized everyone of them in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of their sins in order to receive the Holy Spirit. But, Acts 10:44 they The Gentles received the Holy Spirit without being baptized. They early believers who were Jews still under the old Mosaic covenant at that time. Which was a different dispensation, were required to be water baptized to be saved. But, under the new dispensation according to the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 1 4 all that is required for salvation, "both Jews and Gentles is truly believing in the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, plus nothing. Then we will be baptized with the Holy Spirit. Look Acts 16: 30-31 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said Paul and Silas Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. He did not saw they should repent and be baptize. No. all they said was believe!
