Firstly, Mark 16:16 clearly says: 'He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved but he that believeth not shall be damned'. So belief and baptism are imperative to salvation. Secondly, only Jesus Christ has ascended to heaven as verses 31 - 33 explains. 31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. 32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. 33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. Only Jesus, you may ask, because as Peter states in verse 34 of this chapter of Acts 2: 'For David is not ascended into the heavens'. This is King David, whom God described as a man after His own heart. Resurrection to Judgement and then immortality is the scripturally defined process of salvation, based on a believers belief and baptism, not a free entrance with no obligation of change on a person's part into heaven. Regards Ian
