    responds to Angie; we're all beginners. In the Old testament forgiveness came only with true repentance, the New testament seems to be more lenient, faith is the primary requisite factor. I always felt that true repentance is one of the building blocks of one's faith. I also find some passages to be beyond my understanding, I'm sceptical of anyone who claims to understand the mind of the LORD.
