"...he that hath seen me hath seen the Father..."
( John 14:9)
We recently went to New York City. Before we left, I had "googled" everything I needed to know. I had used Google maps to go everywhere we were to go. I had gotten reviews, and saw personal pictures of where we would be going. Every aspect of the trip had been covered. (places we were to go, modes of transportation, places we were to stay, where we would eat, time schedules, weather temperatures...)
Because I had "googled" everything and virtually walked and seen all we were to do, when we actually did it, the virtual was so close to being reality. There were a few variables that the virtual could not convey: encounters with people (whether good or bad), mechanical breakdowns, delays which alter the abstract schedule, and the human factor of leaving something out and having to improvise on foot; but, overall, the virtual was a copy of the real. You could almost overlay the one over the other and have a perfect match.
Jesus said, "...he that hath seen me, hath seen the Father."
Much like "virtual" seeing to "reality" seeing, God has given unto us His Spirit to see things now, and things yet to be seen.
"But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither hath entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God has revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? Even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. ( I Corinthians 2:9-12)
Have you "googled" the Lord today, the date for the trip is impending?
