    Candace, The image and likeness of God is His character and nature, and about our being replications of Him in our conduct and course in life, according to His words. An excellent teaching on this is the Sermon on the mount ( Mt 5-7). Sin has calloused over our conscience, and distorted our perception of good and evil. God gives us commandments because He is the Author of life, and He knows all!
