These things have you done, and I kept silence: you thought that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes. Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I, even I, am against thee, and will execute judgments in the midst of thee in the sight of the nations. Howl ye for the day of the LORD is at hand: it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty. The priests said not, Where is the LORD? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit. I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed. Thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I am against the shepherds and I will require my flock at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock: neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more: for I will deliver my flock from their mouth, that they may not be meat for them. Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! SAYS the LORD. Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? Thus says the LORD: A sword, a sword is sharpened, and also furbished: Howl ye, Woe worth the day! I am he that lives, and was dead and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen, and have the keys of hell and of death.
