There is one lawgiver who is able to save and to destroy: who are you that judges another? Little children, let no man deceive you: he that does righteousness is righteous. He that commits sin is of the devil: for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our King: and you shall call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
