When you study the Bible use a dictionary a good one and look up words like the word... rest... it has different meanings. Maybe you are using the wrong meaning...and to the beginners ask for Gods help he will guide you in wonderful ways... But always look very closely at each word/ it says every jot and tittle is very important, because the bible is written by direction of the Holy Spirit...it is Gods words not mens...as for the term ...in this day and age....we will never catch up to Gods mind ... He is so far above us and always will be....remember these are His words not mens no matter who ,or when it was written.... so trust it,, and always use the King James version,,,,it is the closest to the original text and was labored over to be correct. some versions are so changed it is a crime..
