Greg, Genesis 1:26 - God creates man in their own image. Genesis 2:9 - God creates Adam out of the ground.
God created mankind twice. Cain got his wife from the land of Nod. Were there other people there? We do not know God does not tell us everything in his word. There is time missing from when he creates mankind and Adam.
