    Irene 123, Proverbs 27:2 "a stranger" is not specific to one that is not saved.

    The new century version of proverbs 27:2 says dont praise yourself let someone else do it. Let the praise come from a stranger, not from your own lips...and the new international version says let the praise come from an outsider.....

    Hi Js, I have found the KJV to be more accurate than the newer Translations they have even contredicted qqGod's Truth which if wanted I will share some with you. Just because it's New dosen't mean it's better or even as good, they say If it works don't fix it! Pride yes if we are bragging about how good we are but we don't have to be sad when we achieve or compare ourselves to others Galations 6.

    The new century version definitely brings more clarity for me in many ways.....its not about being better or not....i do what i need to understand what God is saying. I don't compare any of the bibles for the fun of it at all...its important that i understand what Gods word says if im gonna be a witness for him tho....
