Jesus taught the contentious Jews ( John 8) that being Abraham's seed didn't make them Children; but those walking after the same Spirit that Abraham walked those are the true Children. So with respect to being Children of God by faith in Jesus Christ our Lord it is known what kind we are by the kind of behavior and character.
