I Praise the Lord that we as children of God can have a meaningful discourse on this forum. We all know that there are no perfect churches out there. Not even pastors or church leaders are perfect.

The Apostles stayed in Jerusalem to minister. Both Elijah and Elisha were prophets in the Northern Kingdom to the ten tribes. We know from scripture of the wickedness in the Northern Kingdom and worshipping of false idols. Never-the-less they stayed to fulfill the will of God. We too can do the same. Through our testimony, walk, and talk we can praise the Lord.

Do personal, one on one evangelism, ( Matthew 28:18-20). Pray for all, as I know many of us do, according to scripture. ( 2 Tim 2) Invite people over for a meal,( Acts 2). Nothing opens doors better than good food, and good fellowship. Get involved in a ministry. Go visiting. This one is some what difficult owing to the current pandemic we are in. Be creative. It's not easy, but the Lord will be praised. Let's be part of it. Let's not give the devil the upper hand to the souls that need to find Christ. God is still on the throne.

God's Will is that we love His Word, meditate in His Word, and do His Word (Book of James). May the Lord's Hand be evident in all the we do for Him in His Name. Didn't mean to preach, just wanted to help. God love us all.

    Amen!!

Thanks friend, We need more posts on How to receive salvation rather than whether it can be lost,

Seek salvation then feed on the word.

As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

    1 Peter 2:2.

Spiritual growth is what I think is the next most important thing,

A lack of spirituality can mean one of two things,

    Either a carnal Christian.

Or one who don't have salvation.

If you are a true born again Christian and feed on the word, there's nothing you can do to keep from growing.

A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

    Matthew 7:18.

If there's sin in your life that will be dealt with as well.

John 6:57-58. As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.

This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.

John 6:63. It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Key things about the manna in the wilderness.

    1) You had to feed on it every day.

    2) YOU HAD TO GET YOUR OWN!!

The true bread is the same way!!

2 Corinthians 13:5. Paul says to examine yourselves to see if Christ be in you.

John says when you are in Christ and Christ is on you, YOU WILL LOVE THE BRETHREN. You're in the light.

It's so easy to SAY Love Love, Love right?

    We all Love someone!

So let's examine ourselves like this,

What about anger without a cause.

What about this Christian you just don't like? Ask yourself Why?

Where's the longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, forgiveness, Mercy, and Love that the bread of life bread of life supposed to have supplied you with?

    Key words:

    ( The quickening spirit)

    ( Virtue )

    ( Baptism )

1 John 2:9. He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.

What are the steps of Salvation

You become aware of your need.

You hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ promising to meet that need. John chapter 3

The Holy Spirit convicts and draws you.

You believe the truth of the Gospel.

You repent of your sinful life, turn to Jesus as your Savior and Lord and receive forgiveness of your sins, making God the Lord of your life.

You are received by God, as an adopted Child because Jesus paid your penalty for you.

You receive the gift of eternal life.

You receive the gift of the indwelling Holy Spirit.

You must remember that salvation is of the Lord. It is a supernatural miracle performed by God because He loves you and has provided salvation for you by having sent Jesus to die for your sins, on the cross. You are not saved by your worth or your works, but by God's grace.

    Hi Robert,

    God will help you!

'Draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to you...' James 4:8 You have done this already by acknowledging that sin has seperated you from God. He will honor that and help you.

'And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.' Luke 18:27 Don't despair if your marriage is a big mess, because God IS greater.

    God bless,

    Carl

    Praise the Lord! Melissa,

Be encourage and this walk is not easy sometimes but it will be worth it all when we see Jesus Christ face to face in heaven.

Philippians 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Matthew 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

I have been listening and learning on youtube-Honest News Network-Brother Joseph Skinner and it has helped me get closer to the Lord and my walk with him.

God bless you and may the Lord keep you safe under his wings Psalms 17:8 and my prayers are with you.

Thank you brother Carleton, for sharing that very deep, thought-provoking message; I had to read it several times to properly comprehend it.

The 'heart' of course is such an immaterial concept, so we who live in a see/touch dimension find it difficult to understand & identify. I can best equate it to the residence of our spirit and to which place, the Holy Spirit is also found in all those who believe. And even though the Spirit continues to affect our spirits in many ways to the end of forming "Christ in us", sadly our minds tend to run riot at times, entertaining fleshly pursuits, affecting our spirit. And so the continual urging to "be renewed in the spirit of your mind" ( Ephesians 4:23) & Romans 12:2: "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God" must be our constant pursuit.

And if being "carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace" ( Romans 8:6), our minds must be specially affected by the Holy Spirit - and for that to happen, we put away sins in the mind & invite the Spirit to replace them with all that is pure & holy. And even in our struggles in the flesh, we know that "it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure" ( Philippians 2:13) & that work will never cease for it is God's Will & for His Joy for our holiness & bearing His Son's Image.

Dear Chris, I love to read your writing as so many do. Thank you. Yesterday morning I received an email from my Nigerian brother/minister. His thoughts were on grace and faith, the mind and the heart. Grace is available to turn the mind to the condition of the heart where God can dwell in His believing children. All works of faith must happen and remain happening in the heart. We can challenge that faith by our willingness to search our hearts for uncleanness of any kind. This faith because of grace allows Christ Jesus by the comforter, the Holy Ghost in a born again believer to be sanctified continually while time remains in sinful flesh. As Christians we cannot shun this grace or avoid it in our hearts which we know as our souls which are eternal either unto life or death. Meanwhile we also have the mind, there is grace for the mind to believe and hear and have faith. But God dwells in the heart. Our true faith must be in the heart and we accept His grace to gently turn our minds to the living faith at Calvary in our hearts. We have a responsibility as Christians to protect the mind in its thoughts and actions by casting out evil imaginations which are common to all of Adam's descendants . So faith by our mind should only be considered a reasonable service to protect the faith and grace and Finished work at Calvary in our hearts. Eternal Security requires this living faith (God's Dwelling) and the mind turned to the heart. Our minds can turn our hearts to lasciviousness if our faith is in control of our minds. Likely, something like this happened to me way back then because I failed to understand how powerful Satan is related to faith by the mind and how he wants to challenge the finished Work of Jesus Christ in the hearts of the simple believing children. When we are attacked by the ally of the flesh by the evil one we must have a place of refuge as there is no place to hide except in the heart where salvation has taken place where security is everlasting.

Thank you Carleton - that was a very telling testimony of retrieval from the clutches of sin. And praise God for those elders who assisted in your rescue & restoration. And so it is, for all who are beguiled by Satan & find themselves in his clutches, the Lord does all things possible by His Spirit & through godly men & circumstances, to alert us to the folly of our ways. The Lord gave you a loving assembly family who were quick to fish you out of the snare - many others flounder around for months or years, making shipwreck of their faith, dishonouring the Lord.

But when one knows the wrong & continues to persist in it, enjoying it & finding no conviction of such a lifestyle in the Light of God's Holiness & the Cross of Christ, hoping that the Lord would overlook it at His Coming, that to me is a great stretch of 'undeserved unlimited Grace'. It is then any wonder that those of us (= me) who believe in the 'eternal security of the believer' are often labelled as 'those who promote or allow licentious living while under such Grace', or being in support of "where sin abounded, grace did much more abound" ( Romans 5:20). Our hearts must never be allowed to get so hardened in sin or a sinful lifestyle that the Spirit's Light can no longer be seen or felt.

1 Corinthians 7, says to get married. If you don't want to marry the man you're with...but do hope to get married some day... I hope your someday husband isn't sleeping around too. See the thought?

We have to follow Jesus on the narrow road. Sexual impurity is a ditch. You know to do right, but you are stuck in this ditch of compromise.

Climb out, chin up, and have that conversation with your guy and find out once and for all, if he's your forever husband or not.

I know this sounds so harsh and I do not mean to hurt your feelings. I do understand. Many of us have been in that ditch. I can say with great conviction that following Jesus brings great joy in the end. I'll pray for you tonight.

Chris, When I was a new Christian (born again) and before my marriage I had a year and a half of what I thought was a successful separation of willing sin in my life until one day I fell. As far as I know I never so it coming. It was like in one second I decided to return to my old life. Within a few hours I realized how far I had fallen and wanted repentance and restoration and yet my flesh was re-awakened. Satan attacked this little lamb and really it was the help of the brethren particularly elders that helped me return to the fold. I was outwardly separated by the Church as it was proven that my sin was too grievous until I had found forgiveness. This was lovingly and carefully done with me. The desire to be restored in the brotherhood was immediate but I had to fight my flesh for several months. Finally I persevered turned from the sin and found forgiveness from Jesus and had the peace of the Holy Spirit again leading my life. Soon thereafter I was restored in the church at a different location due to work than the one where I was separated from (there was communication between the two regarding my repentance experience). I learned that Satan is always ready to devour and Jesus and his bride are always ready to restore. Within a year and a half of this experience I was married in the Lord and have had the grace to remain faithful from willing sin till this day many years later. I am not sure how it would have gone if I had not had the brethren by their very lives of peace and joy before me to convict me enough that I could not stay in deception and feed my flesh. When my brethren first found out of my fall which I immediately brought forward my loving elder told me in simple words "first things first" and I knew what he meant, no excuses. I had been once bought for a price and I needed to honor that commitment to Jesus and his bride again at any cost to my pride and for for my eternal life to be continued in Him.
  • Chris - In Reply on Ecclesiasticus 8 - 3 years ago
I must reply with a question, in reverse: would the 'Christian' living in fornication actually be a part of His bride? There are too many today who believe they are Christians going to Heaven (whether from their own imaginations or false teaching), yet they resemble the world of the sin-ridden, rather than the Holy Spirit infilled children of God.

"God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting." Galatians 6:7,8.

"but (the Lord) is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." 2 Peter 3:9.

Paul's stern word is to: "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?" 2 Corinthians 13:5.

So hope remains to the misguided 'Christian' that he or she may turn from sin now, truly repent & seek the abundant forgiveness of the Lord. "Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon." Isaiah 55:6,7.

  • It39s never too late to Set Your House in Order - In Reply on Ecclesiasticus 8 - 3 years ago
Satan is a "god" of CHAOS. Whatever he finds that is in order, he tears at it until it's in sin and disarray. That is his FRUIT. He has many! Get to know all of them. That's how we know he's trying to set our homes, work, friendships, etc, in Chaos. Time to pray and get Church members to pray with us, if need be.

Let's be sensitive to order vs chaos. It's a pattern for success or, chaos. Titus learned that traveling with Paul: as did the Disciples that traveled with Jesus.

Job had a great life until Chaos showed up on the scene. Job had to resist blaming God for it. He learned the blessing of trusting God, despite the mess around him and "friends" that ACCUSED him of some secret sin.

Accuser, is another name of Satan. We all need to pay attention to the signs of his presence. Stay in the Bible and even READ IT OUT LOUD. He doesn't want to hear it. Praise, and sing Jesus Loves Me if that's all you can think of, in the "battle."

When Jesus was facing a battle, He got away from the crowd and Prayed. Always. That's our Example.

In the Book of Job, satan was around taking notes on Jobs weak areas. Job sacrificed & made offerings for his partying children. So Satan attacked Job, through his FAMILY first. He wiped out everything Job had with storms (tornadoes?). Except the nagging wife.

When we see CHAOS in our lives, it is solid evidence that satan is involved. Know who your enemy is. Don't lose your faith and trust in God.

Go on YouTube, type in Spiritual Warfare sermons, and get informed. Try some by Derek Prince or Charles Capps. Don't collapse in a heap yet. Learn how to fight back; in the power of Jesus name, and by the shed blood of Jesus. Ephesians 6. Demons are invisible, but we see the CHAOS of their presence. Fight and don't back down. We are victors, not victims.

Set your house in order. Don't worry about what anyone thinks. Let them see you at the kitchen table with an open Bible. Pray psalms out loud. Don't be a doormat.

    Good morning brother,

Truly no one knows the exact time of the "end" except our Father in Heaven. Though we must be vigilant in what is going on in the world around us. I would say things are getting quite Biblical/historical.

As you stated what is most important for us is to keep our faith in the Lord. Focus on Him with a pure heart. To be ready for Him at the time we least expect. As any of us could die/be killed at any moment which to me can be paralleled to the coming of the Lord. Weather we are to be here to see the end, or not, to me does not really make much difference. The Lord is everything to me. As everything in this world is vanity.

Matthew 10:34-38. Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

He that loveth father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.

And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after Me, is not worthy of Me.

    Matthew 24:42-51.

Luke 9:60-62. Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.

And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.

And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

The devil is very cunning and crafty. It may not be as easy to spot certain things, of the end, as some perceive it. We are living in times like never before. I myself see this shot as "them" trying to corrupt the flesh of people. Why God flooded the world in the time of Noah. Only God knows if I'm right or wrong. The truth shall come to light one day.

God Bless you my brother. Have a wonderful day.

    Cb,

If you read in the book of Revelation about the mark of the beast, you will find that there is a prerequisite to receiving the mark. A person can not just show up and receive the mark. In order to receive the mark, a person has to first bow down and worship the beast or the antichrist. Revelation tells us that this mark was placed either on the forehead or the hand. When the antichrist is revealed, everyone who is alive on this earth will know who he is. He will demand that people worship him. A person must worship him first before they can receive the mark.

Now, if you are a believer and have been born of God's Spirit, you will never worship the antichrist, which means you can't receive the mark. The scripture is clear that a person who is a "Christ Follower," they will not follow the voice of a stranger.

I don't see how this vaccine fits the description of the mark. John lays it all out in the book of Revelation about the events that must first take place before the mark can be received and that time has not come yet.

Please know that this mark is not just given freely to people. You cannot receive it unless you bow down and worship the beast. And how can you worship the beast if he hasn't been revealed yet?

Brother, Many of us think that time is nearly over and new tests to our remaining faith have arrived and this is true. Yet almost over still could be awhile. Revelation, Daniel, the Gospels all predict the end times and warn to be ready for the return of Jesus Christ our Lord. Many Christians have the Holy Ghost and are able to discern truth from untruth in their lives whether they are young Christians or old. When a Christian burdens down the clear message of Salvation in Jesus Christ with a perceived understanding of the end times prophecy, they may be taking away from the chapter and adding a chapter that is just not meant to be. It is my belief that this possibility is far greater than the fear of a born again Christian partaking of anything physical in this earth which can be repented of if the Bible speaks of it clearly as sin or if the Holy Ghost puts conviction into the heart of an individual soul to do or not do. We must eat of His flesh and drink of His blood to have life eternal.

    Just some morning thoughts.

    God bless our meditations

    Hi Cb,

To add to the details Adam stated for you. I was going to just make a post about this but as I see your question I am replying to you.

I must speak from the heart. This is no joke. I just watched a man filled with the Holy Ghost preach for over 5 hours. A lot of what he stated I already knew. Though he shed light on numerous things. Here is just one thing in Scripture I believe should be known. Not just for you but all my brothers and sisters in Christ and anyone that may see this.

Revelation 18:23-24. And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy "sorceries" were all nations deceived.

24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.

In this verse the word "sorceries" is the Greek word "pharmakeia". Which we get the English word pharmacy from. Meaning the use or administering of drugs, poisoning, or sorcery. And there is known to be the cells of aborted fetuses in the "vaccine" which links to verse 24.

That being just one parallel I was led to. As I said before I would never tell anyone to get this "shot". Keep your faith, and trust, in the Lord with all your heart.

As I said I will not condemn someone if they got the shot. Though I am not the one who is on the Throne in Heaven whom people will have to stand before.

I'm not going to seem all wise and say I know this is the mark. Though what if it really is? Would you jeopardize your soul? To be accepted by the world? Or would you rather be accepted by the Lord.

I will apologize beforehand as I don't want controversy. I know we must all make our own decisions. Though I feel I must post these things.

Over 700 million people have been vaccinated and over 15 million people a day are receiving the shot. And the rate is going up.

    God Bless.
