4:10 He that descended - That thus amazingly humbled himself. Is the same that ascended - That was so highly exalted. That he might fill all things - The whole church, with his Spirit, presence, and operations.
Eph 4:10 Ascended up far above all heavens. The one who descended is now exalted to the right hand of God. God's throne is represented above the heavens, as God is above all. Compare Heb 4:14 7:26. That he might fill all things. And hence reach every place with his grace and glory.
