Messiah has taken away the entire law of the first covenant and replaced it with a pure and simple covenant command in which the whole torah of the first covenant is fulfilled and also that the new command now gives us the ability to produce fruits to Father which the dead works of the first covenant torah could not produce. Praise Father in the name of Yahushua!
One of the greatest promises regarding God's eternal purpose which means a continuous un-veling of things He has planned forever....and we will be partakers of them all...
We have to keep in mind this Epistle was written by Paul. Peter warns us in 2 Peter 3 15-16, that we are to be careful in interpreting Paul's letters. Through this p***age we can plainly see that Christ abolished the "Enmity" or hostility between the House of Israel and the House of Judah. I think that to correctly interpret this p***age we need to remember that Israel became a divided nation. They split into Northern (House of Israel) and Southern (House of Judah) kingdoms. Many interpret the next part of the verse to mean that the Law has been abolished. This interpretation is in direct conflict with many other scriptures such as Romans 3:31, and can lead to the error of lawlessness as Peter said (referenced above). The King James bible says "Having abolished in His flesh the enmity, even the Law of commandments contained in ordinances.....". I believe what Paul is trying to get across is that Christ has brought peace. He has brought and end to enmity, or hostility or any dispute even regarding the Law of Commandments contained in ordinances.
I take it to heart for the Lord said it is so, and if any thinks that he/she can get in heaven any other way then he/she is a fool. But I still love all as my lord Jesus does. Amen.
@Walt,
You say: “…gentiles were excluded from Moses covenant until the cross … The four gospels should be part of the Old Testament.” Let’s “zoom out” of Ephesians 2, and take a look at the whole Bible from “an eagle’s eye view”. The plan of salvation did not begin with the Jews; it was conceived before the foundation of the world 1 Peter 1:19. First, it was revealed to Adam and Eve after the fall Genesis 3:15. Then Enoch, Noah and Job preached it. Melchizedek, serving as the priest of the Most High preached it. And finally it was promised to Abraham, in whose seed all the nations would be blessed. The plan of salvation has different stages: It began in the Garden of Eden, continued until the Flood, then after the Flood with Noah and his family until Abraham. The Jewish Nation followed. God’s prophets continued to preach until Christ came, and He continued to preach “the Kingdom of God” until His ascension. After that, the Apostles followed including Paul. The plan of salvation included the whole world from the beginning. Though the shortest, the “Jewish period” period was the most important. But The Gospel of the Kingdom of God was the same from the beginning to “the end”, having at the center Jesus Christ, The Savior of the world. This is what Jesus was trying to explain to His people, when they wanted to kill Him: “Search the scriptures (the Old Testament); for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me” John 5:39. On the road to Emmaus, “beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning Himself” Luke 24: 27. Conclusion: You can’t separate The Old from The New Testament. It is just one message, one plan of salvation, one Christ.
All true believers who have a spiritual encounter in CHRIST with the Holy Spirit and born again are in the God`s family. The Holy Spirit knits all believers together so that they corporately become a living and holy temple. We are joined to CHRIST by HIS SPIRIT.Spiritually we are birthed through the Holy Spirit and biologically through our genes, we have a natural family.
I would like to say how much I loved Ephesians 2:18. It really talked to my heart, saying through him we both have access by one spirit unto the Father. Just k to think our big heavenly Father, God's holy spirit lives in us. God bless all.
I really enjoyed Ephesians 2 verse 8 how wonderful it is to get a gift and by faith I am saved. And anyone who asks Jesus in his/her heart, it’s the best gift God gave use his Son JESUS.
Annette asked "Are we His masterpiece". YES in Christ Jesus we are. What blows me away is the fact that Almighty God did not consider His Son too good for us !!!!!
wrong! it is saying that gentiles were excluded from Moses covenent until the cross (CHRIST) but now are grafted into the BODY OF CHRIST by GRACE ALONE. Mt,Mk, Luke & Jn were CHRIST'S ministry to the Jews only."I am come only to the house of Israel" "Go not to the gentiles or samaritans but to the Jews only" The four gospels should be part of the old testament. CHRIST sent Paul & his Gospel to minister to the gentiles (&jews) with the new covenent who were to be one in THE BODY OF CHRIST. Eph 2:14-19. hense---no anti-semitism!

Being a trespasser of the will of God alienates you; and separates you from the life that's here after! Threw disobedience releases us over to sin, for God being rich in mercy gives us another chance to prove the good and perfect will of God! He shows us his love by sending His son as a ransom to reconcile and return us again. Grace was provended, so can you live by the spirit? Absolutely! Don't let the carnal things deny you from the truth; nothing can amount to the love of God... From the mediation of the word keep you and may the spirit in-power you God bless you!

God,in His mercy, has sent unto us who are alive his prophets for the purpose of enlightening the human person with his Holy Spirit of truth, has he not? The Bible is their journal for us to study, consider and rightly divide the word of truth, thru fellowship, good works, right living, obedience to His will, deep reflection within ourselves discerning the structures of the Spirit who abides within, or in the midst of this body, and your body, who must contend with other spirits for dominion. May God grant us His peace!
That, we are a PRODUCT of the SPIRITUAL world which GOD owns. We are a property having been created with his own HANDS. First as a mass,then with HIS soul to b living beings. With a purpose to live unto his WILL through His SPIRIT which is not part of the BODY but an intergral unit to confirm with CHRIST through which we connect to/with GOD. We need the spirit as the third element to conquer the BODY n convert it to its IMMORTAL status if we are to defeat the inherited sinful condition. This is the WILL of GOD.
the verse to me means that man is hibitual in the pursuit of carnal desires,and because of sin men who continue to act in disobedience after they have come to salvation are children and sons of God but have allowed Satan's demontic influence to once again have control in their lives, which sapartes them from God's presents and they are compared to children of unbelief, to which the wrath of God is aganist.
This is man's battle with stitural wicknees, the flesh, and free will. God is requiring man to make a choice to be blessed or cursed, receive spititual life or death, to be hoily or sinful.
God want's man's obedience but does not force his choice but He does provide in this verse the info rmation we need to know that the God of that influneces disobedience is Satan and makes it clear that our faith and trust in God deliverses us form the power of Satan.
Jesus is God's masterpiece, and whoever wills is welcomed to abide/dwell in Jesus and have Jesus abide in us. How wonderful the grace of our God. These greatly blessed ones, the Church, will be the exhibit of God's grace and kindness through Jesus (V.7). Believers are now seated with Christ in the spirit world(V.6) which means having authority over evil forces, like a judge in a court room. Only as we know Jesus and identify with Him.
If you are saved through your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ reconcile Mat. 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. You cannot read even one verse that through faith your soul be saved. But many verses to save our soul is a work individually to obey the words of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faith and good works through his words equal salvation. Verses to prove that individual/your own work are the foll.: Exeq. 14:14, 14:20, Exeq. 18:27, Acts 2:40, Philip. 2:12 & James 1: 21-22.
