Ahiests use Exodus 1:11 to discredit the Bible because it indicates that Ramesses is the Pharoah at this time, and if so, the Egyptian chronology doesn't match with archeology and discredits Jews being in Egypt. However, how do we know that this is Ramesses? Maybe this pharaoh simply named the city after Ramasees? The documentary PATTERNS OF EVIDENCE: The Exodus, brought this to my attention.
Verse 9~The new Pharaoh was suspicious of the Israelites without just cause. Sometimes people may not like us but we can't let that get to us, we just have to be concerned with being fully pleasing to Jehovah God.
It is a book of how generations emerges. Inter mariges brings about increase of a people , tribe and also leads to church growth. The book of exudos paints a picture of government tenureship and how it could be oppressive and run with fear and evil intentions sometimes.
Verse 6~This is a good verse to give the definition of a generation. Those who are part of a generation can be different ages, but they are all contemporaries. Knowing this can help us to understand the meaning of the word generation at Matthew 24:34.
Exodus is such a striking chapter. It so embodies the tests which God grace us with during our lives to test our faith and strength of character. It serves as an allegory for how we will all have times of relative slavery in our lives, but God stands with us and we must trust in His plan. Love to you all.
Hello Maggie; On saying that God puts us in situations; we should be careful! Jesus said that we will have tribulation and toil and sorrow in this life, but we should be of good courage because He has overcome the world. God tempts no one; but we are all tempted when we are drawn away by our own lusts and enticed. If we cave in to those temptations, it is sin! We are also in a world out of course!
I think this was a test of the younger generation of Israel, to test their faith and to only rely on God for their deliverance and freedom. Trust him at his word and obey him and give him all the praise and worship and honor belong to him, and know that he can do just what he said he would do, I am in a situation now, I called out to get help, lost my job my grandchildren just wait on him
I think it is a real test of the faith: of the new generation of Israel , sometimes God puts us in uncomfortable positions to test is to see if we trust totally in him, his word says the fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe. God is are only help in any situation, have faith in God as Abraham did was willing to slay his son for God in we trust.
Let US MAKE MAN in our image after OUR LIKENESS . They were ALL there creating everything together at the creation, God the father, God the Son,and God the Holy Spirit.
"For the Lord GOD of hosts shall make a consumption, even determined, in the midst of all the land. Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, O my people that dwell in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt." Isaiah 10:23-24 The whole world will be like it was for Israel in Egypt, when Jesus comes.
I think it shows how in the beginning Jehovah God had mercy on Adam and Eve,and how to not take people or God for granted in any way cause you will need both of them.
I like this chapter bc u never know who u will need, thank god for being so merciful and a gentle man at all time. He knows all and see all. God bless you
Ephesians 3:9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: Colossians 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
To Michael C. - where does the Bible say that God created everything through Christ Jesus? And Jesus was in glory with the father before the world was? I hope you see my request .....?
Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.
