Romans 8:28 all things work for goodto them that love the Lord and are called according to his purppose.
  • Daniel on Exodus 2 - 10 years ago
Although it states in the writings, that Moses made his way to Jethro (Yitroh) there is a missing picture in the movie. Moses then spends some thirty years in the land of Kush. Moses is of "High Breeding". He has aristocratic Israelite genes, and has been brought up in the house of Pharaoh, a world of high education, of science, astronomy, architecture and so on and so on. So when he crosses the border into the land of Kush he gets offer and excellent job. He becomes "ruler" of Kush until the point where the Queen of Kush tries to persuade Moses to marry her. The idea did not work and he was promptly fired ….. It was only then that he moved north to Midian.
  • Daniel on Exodus 2 - 10 years ago
If it is written that Moses looked all around and saw that all was clear to slay the Egyptian then how come all of a sudden it was known to all and sundry. The Egyptian had been killed and buried. So no signs left! What Happened? …. And so ……
The wife who had been cavorting with the Egyptian was, to say the least a rattle mouth and it was she who told the neighbors what Moses had done, thus the statement as to the fact the murder was now known to all.
  • Daniel on Exodus 2 - 10 years ago
What is the story behind the slaying of the Egyptian? After all he was not just any one. He was a designated overseer, so what exactly was going on that so infuriated Moses that he killed the man? Moses approached the scene where he sees an Egyptian coming out of an Israelite's house. The husband came home and is offended by the situation. The Egyptian, on top of everything, then beets the Israelite. Not only had the Egyptian taken advantage of his position by coveting another man's spouse but on top of it thrashes the husband for his "impertinence".

God is a Master planner, who knows what to do at every particular point in time. He has never seen any Pharoah that He cannot dismantle. He gives the best wisdom that brings about success in every cir***stance. Jochebed, though a very silent character in the scripture but salient to my liking. She followed the direction of God diligently.

Teresa Nave here is the scripture you are looking for I think. 1 Kings 3:16-28
  • Timothy Wayne George on Exodus 2 - 11 years ago
I Kings 3:25 King Solomon told the women to divide the living child in two, and give half to the other woman. The real mother would not allow this, and this was one of the wisest judgments that King Solomon made.
The bible tells us, if any man lacks wisdom, let him ask of God. One must ask in faith, without doubting, for without faith it is impossible to please God. May the Lord bless all the spiritual mothers, and biological mothers Amen.
  • Teresa Nave on Exodus 2 - 11 years ago
Where can I find the story of the two mothers fighting over a child and the mother that truly loved the baby forfeited the child so he/she would not be split?

tammy, yes moses knew it because in verse 11 it says moses went out among his brethren to look on their burdens ! looking at their welfare, to see how they are doing !
  • Barbara on Exodus 2 - 11 years ago
If we cry unto God like the Israelite did, He will answer us. He is indeed a prayer answering God and has compassion for his children; like a mother has for her children. I love God.
  • IJEOMA ARUNSI on Exodus 2 - 11 years ago
In every situation, God prepares us for the task ahead. Moses was not the only child born at the time. Because he (God) knew that Moses was the right person for the fight, he prepared him just like Samson from the womb. God will never allow his children to gnash their teeth in vain, he must make a way for escape and make a way where there is none.

It says in verse 2 and God remembered his covenant that's the God we serve, He remembers his promises and acts on them for, He is not like man.
  • Timothy Wayne George on Exodus 2 - 12 years ago
Moses was 40yrs. old at this time, and he had been told that he was an Israelite, but Moses is trying to deliver Israel in his own might. We always fail when we try to do the Lord's work in our own ability. So God has to send him to train him 40yrs. on the back side of the desert to prepare him for his manifest destiny. After 80yrs of training God uses Moses to deliver his people. Moses rejected the passing pleasures of sin for a season and suffered affliction with the people of God for he had esteem of the reward. Humble thyself under the mighty hand of God, and in due season he will exalt the.

So did Moses know before he spied the task master beating A Hebrew that he was also A Hebrew?
  • Andrew Frierson,Jr. on Exodus 2 - 12 years ago
The indicated carefulness of Moses prior to the slaying, to be sure no man saw him, and the reference to his burying the victim; leaves little room forany conclusion but murder.
However, only God truly knows when our motives coincide with his plans...He only can judge, and He only can forgive!

God was concerned about them, like he is concerned about all mankind.
  • JoAnn Fogle on Exodus 2:3 - 13 years ago
I believe GOD knows the begining to the end and HE had Moses in his hands from conception. It was GOD who moved on Moses mother to place him in the river for the Pharoahs' daughter to find him. We are fre moral agents to chose the road we would take...GOD knew the faith and loyality of Moses mother and sister-and HE knew they would follow HIS leading.
  • RALPH M. WATERS on Exodus 2 - 13 years ago
12 And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that [there was] no man, he slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand.

It is sad that people search scriptures for justification of their acts. I once crossed paths with someone trying to justify MURDER and SIN. They used this passage of MOSES.

I explained the following passage: JOEL: 13 And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he [is] gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.

GOD knows our hearts. GOD knew MOSES heart. HE also knows everyone's heart.

Finding scriptures to justify SIN / MURDER is truly of the DEVIL. NO MAN HAS THE MIND OF CHRIST - Therefore, there is no justification of MURDER / SIN.
