I think Ezekiel is a type of calling for the spirit filled church to speak against the wicked of the world that entices menkind to wax worse in sin and be drunkoff the cares of the sinful nature. This sinful generation is just as pundent and stiffhearted today as 2500 years ago. Whether we are taken captive or by our on lust the world has waxed worse in sins.the wicked not only offer a sin but all flavors of it substances and how they can prosper from the lost souls because of their love for money.

I think Ezekiel is was well equiped with what God was asking Him to do. This is followed by the vision which he had which in some ways is a bit scary but then at the same time reassuring as the likeness of the Glory of God appears to Him.

The thing about scripture is its anonymity. The passage is misleading as well. God is sending Ezekiel to a people, not a nation. Who are the real children of Israel is the question.

God said to stand up and do what he says we should do. And don’t worry about what the next man says. Do what I tell you do so you won’t get punch.

Here is Ezekiel going to a nation that is set in their ways and God already knew they will not hear him. God let Ezekiel know you are dealing with a generation of people who are fighting their fathers’ sins but I still have to reach out to them so I'm sending you Ezekiel. Although they are not going to hear I'm still reaching out because I love my people, because they are set in their sins, I still love them, they have a death ear and I still love them. Speak don't be afraid because I'm with you. That is what God is saying today I'm sending my Pastors, Teachers, Apostles, and my Prophets; although some of you are not going to hear, I'm still going to reach out to you because I love you.

In my opinion, Ezekiel Chapter two is a passage which reminds us that if we remain stubborn when we hear God's words, we are bound to regret afterwards and many a time, it becomes too late for us to make amends. God knew that he was sending His Prophet Ezekiel to a stiffhearted people and that is why He mentioned of making Ezekiel's forehead as tough/strong as flint ( Eze. 3:9)inorder to speak to the children of Israel.

However, God also knew that they would not listen to the words of the prophet but in the end, they would then realize that there was a prophet among them. ( Eze. 2:5).

The same thing applies to us today. If we do not listen to God's words through so many gospel channels/media, we will be just like the Jews of old.

May He help us do that which is right and also have a chance to attain eternal life and be told, WELDONE, GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT...

After we recieve the conviction of the truth of God; His glory, power, price of redemption ie ox or calf, and the heavenly call to look and go upward as the eagle, from ch1; now vs.2 - Spirit enters into us, 3- he speaks to us, 4- He tells us to speak for him, 6- He tells us not to fear, 8 open our mouth and receive His Words ( What saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt beleive in thy heart thAT God hath raised Him from the dead thy shalt be saved. ( Rom. 10:8&9.) Vs.9 and a hand was sent unto me a book!! A hand speaks of God's care for us and provision of power to do what we couldn't of ourselves ever do!! Part of God's word deals with heaven and bliss but there is also hell for unbelievers as in mourning and woe. agape--reggie--

I think the passage may be more literal than many would feel comfortable to admit. I believe God is truly capable of ANYTHING.
