Amen ELB! I couldn't agree with you more! Everything you said was pure truth.
Years ago the Lord led me to get away from these "popular" teachings I've been hearing for years and to get deep in His Word and "test all things". Also to read scripture in context...from the beginning of the chapter to the end and further on! I find a lot of these false doctrines are "cherry picked"...they never seem to be in context. Satan also cherry picked scripture with Jesus. Anything that's false...incorrect interpretations of scripture especially...can never come from God! When it's from Him, it'll be the whole truth from beginning to end!
I found it to be so refreshing when I discovered the real truth in His Word....He definitely led me in such a beautiful path...on this journey of so many gems that were there the whole time and I had no idea. If the Bereans in the Book of Acts could search the scriptures to see if what the Apostles taught was true....and we know for a fact they were the real deal...how much more in an age of deception that Jesus told us would be in these last days!
Keep letting the Holy Spirit teach you, you are correct.
A good way to know whither you on the narrow path is by whats being taught;
If most Christians are screaming this is the way, your probably on the wide road.
To repent means when you think you have come to a truth and it contradicts other scriptures, be quick to repent in that belief and turn, making the scriptures agree with each other.

Something else I wanted to add that wasn't added in my previous response to this chapter is that the 1611 KJV also doesn't reference this chapter as the king of Tyrus symbolic of satan. The 1611 will always give a brief summary of each chapter in the Bible to give us as the reader an idea what the chapter is about. You can find it on the 1611 tab of this website and go to the bottom of the page and click the "scanned copy" and you will see it there preceding the chapter. It clearly says that this is an actual judgment on the king of Tyrus...the actual king. No meantion whatsoever of this king being satan. I just thought I would add that because it appears to confirm what and who this chapter is referring to.
And actually....if you look throughout the Book of Ezekiel, the Lord references many rulers and kings even Pharoah and pronounces judgment upon them and the king of Tyrus just happens to be one of them. But they all had a common theme to have such judgment pronounced upon them....it was pride! But the descriptions God uses of their pride...their splendor and how they were lifted up in their kingdom is very poetic! Also reaffirming that this chapter is no different in its poetry.
For some reason when typing my comment, it started to act a little glitchy and I wasn't able to backspace. Please excuse the typos toward the end...lol.

This second part of this chapter cannot possibly be referring to satan because God tells Ezekiel to take up a "lamentation" upon the king of Tyrus. "Son of man, take up a LAMENTATION upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him......"
Ezekiel:28:12a
A lamentation is defined as "a passionate expression of grief or sorrow." Just why would he be "lamenting" over the supposed destruction of satan if this were the case? We lament or there has always been lamentations for humans and cities being destroyed...never satan! It's all in the Bible regarding the examples and principle of what lamentation was and scripture doesn't contradict itself...it INTERPRETS itself. I find that just one word that we find insignificant in scripture actually is the key to bringing clarity to the passage.
I do believe God is speaking in symbolism to the king of Tyrus but to an actual person. It's poetic like most prophetic words given to the children of Israel were poetic. In Hosea, God is speaking to them and calls them a backsliding "heifer". Is He saying they are LITERALLY a heifer? No!
The first half of the chapter still can't be referring to satan because God is saying this prince of Tyrus is saying he is God when he's but a man and we know satan is not a man! He goes on to say that when God sends men to slay him will he tell them before they do it that he is God? They will see he is just more man because he will perish like a man. Once again...this cannot be referring to satan because this is not how his ending will be according to RRRevelation.and in Isaiah .
I ifirmly believe the Bible is a spiritual Book and spiritual language can only be understood by the Spirit of God revealing what things mean in the Word so we aren't misinterpreting things. Also context is very important!
This chapter gives in allegorical method, extensive insight into the creation, behavior, and resultant outcome for Lucifer himself or Satan. Do not be confused thinking the reference to the prince of Tyrus in v. 2 is the same as the king of Tyrus in v. 12. A king and a prince are not the same. While the prince mentioned was certainly a man (v. 9), the king in v. 12 is obviously being described here as a spiritual creature.
In study Tyrus appears to be what the world wants to call 'Atlantis ' even online searches lead that direction. Amos 1:8-10, Zechariah 9:1-4, Ezekiel 27:3-4, Ezekiel 29:18, Ezekiel 26:3-21, hopefully these are helpful
Where have you read "angels don't have wings" in the Holy Bible?
As is Revelation 8:13, and Revelation 14:6, an angel was beheld "flying through the midst of Heaven". As far as we know something needs wings to fly. I believe God can make angels however He wants.
As I know angels can be perceived as mere humans. So maybe saying not "all" angels have wings would be more accurate. As I would not go as far as to say "angels don't have wings" as neither you nor I could say we truly have a factual answer for that.

Isaiah 14
11 Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee.
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O LUCIFER, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, "Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;"
Satans name before the fall was Lucifer.

The Pharisees were again trying to catch Jesus being too liberal on law issues. This incident happened on a Sabbath day. A guy walks in with dropsy. Jesus asks if it's lawful to Heal (anyone) on the Sabbath day ? Big intake of breath (aha we're going to nail Him!). Jesus heals the guy and let's him leave. Jesus says: which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a pit, and WILL NOT immediately pull him out on the sabbath day??
I say that Jesus is showing us that Church or Sabbath happens when it happens. If you work on weekends and can't get off; if your Church holds services on Wednesday or another weekday; then you can attend on those days.
God knows your intentions and He knows what days you work. If a fellow church member needs corporate prayer, you'll be available on Wednesdays.
If He makes exceptions for donkeys and cows, why would He not bless you for assembling together on a Wednesday?
Underline passages where you see that Pharisee-like plots were foiled by a loving and practical Son of God.
If you tithe...do it with bliss and happiness on Wednesday.
Jayden, there are usually two ways that the Bible looked upon. One is for its historical value & for a cursory look for interest's sake. The Bible is rich in history of course, where information & detail is given that is unavailable from other documents or books. So there is value there.
However, & secondly, for those who are Christians & those seeking to know more about God, His Ways, & dealings in Earth's affairs, the Bible becomes invaluable. The Bible shows us God's love for His creation & His provision for us (both physically & spiritually). It answers most of the questions we have about life & death & gives answers & illustrations of those who have gone through similar struggles to us with temptations & hardships in life. If you think of any question you have about a struggle you might have or a family situation, the Bible will have an answer for you. If you don't read the Bible or you lower its importance in your life, then you won't have God's Mind & Answer for you. Your answer will need to come from within yourself or from another; & there is a much greater risk of being led astray or not being satisfied.
His Word is no ordinary Book. It was written of course by the hand of men, but the Bible tells us that they were led by God's Spirit to write; 2 Peter 1:20,21: speaks of Prophecy (messages of future events, of which the Bible has many). And some of these prophecies have been fulfilled already, & some are awaiting fulfilment. The Word of God is like my daily Handbook, referred to more than any other material available on my bookshelf. Please spend much time in reading it, & what you don't understand, ask here or at your Church, etc. It is the most important Book you will ever own or read.
I think it is important to read the bible in order to grow spiritually in Christ. Growth comes through continuous reading and studying of the scripture. Also, without reading the bible, how are we to know if what we are being taught is true? We have to search the scriptures in order to test all things to see if what is presented to us is the truth. It's just like exercising, if we don't exercise, eventually our muscles will weaken. We grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through a continuous study of His word. There can be no growth without reading and studying. In fact, the bible tells us that when we leave off from studying God's word, we become dull of hearing. In other words, there will be no growth, and the things we learned and once knew, we will begin to forget. That is why I feel it's important to stay in the word.
The Bible is our daily bread. It help us grow spiritually as a Christian. We need to feed on it daily and master it and help us to know God more deeply
A Disciple, remember that among the heathen were also unbelieving Jews who took their side and denied Christ, their Messiah. They also will be judged with their neighbors and of them only a remnant will go into the Kingdom with Him. :
I disagree slightly with Betty Weaver. The first part 1-12 was it, God is speaking of the actual King, then He begins in 13. moreover to address the author of the kings heart, and thoughts character, Satan. He declares Satan s beauty and position at the first, then his evilness and great fall from Grace his desire to be like the Most High God and sit in His seat, no mercy will be found for him!
Ezekiel 28:1-19.Thus saith the Lord.God is describing satan here.he was a cherub. His beauty ,his knowledge.satan was with GOD in the beginning .he was one of 2 who covered the mercy seat of God.his downfall was he wanted to set on the mercy seat..god describes that satan was the most beautiful equipped with everything.God descibeds what satan is doing. And what God says HE is going to do to satan.
25-26 This is now-This is a prophecy for today. God is about to give Israel part of the land back that he gave to Abraham. [ PSALMS 83] is the prophecy that tells all about it...
The Matthew, Mark, and Luke verses show how God loves us and stands up for us. He is our protector. PTL
Luke 17:2, Matthew 18:6,10, Mark 9:42,

He coveted Gods Throne as Lucifer. He's a created angel. He is not a god. His name was changed to Satan.
Jesus defeated him at the cross, completely.
