Galatians 6:10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
  • Dorrett - In Reply on Galatians 6 - 5 years ago
Apparent seeming real or true but not so... is correct. The Bible is not indicating that we lay down all our weight and burden and wait for another to lift them up. we all take our issues tan burdens to God and we help each others to carry their load. its a team effort that is depicted here. A picture of helping each other.
  • Richard on Galatians 6 - 5 years ago
    Jesus is lord
  • Gary Olsen on Galatians 6 - 5 years ago
If we are Christ's, then we are Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise -3:29. In Christ, we are a new creature -6:15. We are the Israel of God -6:16. According to Paul, all those of faith in the Father and in the Son are Israel.

V-7: Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man Soweth, that shall he also reap? Why we do these things that God warns us not to do? Thinking that we are going to get away with it? For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth: etc: we cannot hide from God? He is Everywhete We go! HIGH: LOW: MOUNTAIN TOP: VALLEY: UNDER THE SEA: WHERE EVER WE GO! HE IS THERE!

  • MAP on Galatians 6 - 6 years ago
There is no contradiction. Verse 2 discusses how as Christians we must help bear others burdens when they fall. Verse 5 describes all men bear their own burdens as well. The one who fell in verse 2 is still bearing his own burdens, just needs help. The chapter is telling Christians that if you think you're a good person prove it and find reward in your own heart for doing well, not from others
  • Eutychus on Galatians 6 - 6 years ago
Ask your class to read this chapter with you, aloud. Then ask them if they noted an apparent (!) contradiction in the text? They won't see it, or take note of it. You won't either, unless you read below...

But look at verses 2 and 5. This is startling evidence that it takes the Holy Spirit to reveal to us, the words we read in the Bible, the WORD of God. We read it, but too often don't see it.
  • Yalonda Dunnagan on Galatians 6 - 6 years ago
It means just what it says. Just because your a Christian does not mean you can purposely sin and not be held accountable. Too many believers today claim because they accepted Christ or believe in Him, they are excused of any and all sin. Bare in mind that Galatians was written after the cross and it is because of Calvary that we are not to sin, and if or when we do we must ask forgiveness... out life must change, we do not walk in our old ways when we receive Jesus, we clean our act up and walk in newness of life.
  • Geraldine Cole on Galatians 6 - 6 years ago
V 17 henceforth let no man trouble thee I bare the mark of Christ praise God this is what we need to remember we who are Saved have Christ in us which is the Holy Ghost which mean we should be peaceful people even so the devil will try to temp us just like he did Jesus and when he did try Jesus use the word on him that what we must do also do not go into a nasy argument with a unsaved person

Verse nine-look at Gladys Alward , this verse points to her life. Even though God wanted her to go to China, He didn't make it easy for her. She still did God's will. What a testimony of faith!

Verse 4: We must guard against the tendency to compare ourselves to others. If we do so this can either make us proud or discourage us. We should strive to give our personal best and rejoice in that fact.

Galatians 6:15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. being born again child of God, the new creature inside me can not sin, it's the Holy Spirit of God. Now the flesh does sin, that's why we have to read the Word of God to get a good washing . Amen

When God gives you a word or a direction to go in : Stand , and having done all , Stand : Sometimes it may seem as though you are standing and nothing is going on : Take heart : There are things going on in the spiritual aspect of the thing that we cannot see : It is surely working and soon manifestation is near.
  • Sandy Lee on Galatians 6 - 8 years ago
This wonderful verse brightened my day. When someone repays back your kindness with wickedness. What can we do? With this verse we can be comforted because when we stay true to God we reap the peace. Sometimes people don't know that they are acting uncivilised.

We can't mock God so as to challenge him by thinking we can do wrong and get away with it. One will always reap what they sow.
