Genesis is powerful it shows the power of God he spoke just spoke everything into exsistant,and it shows how the creation of man and women was created.

In the beginning God created heaven and earth. What was God doing before he created the heaven and earth and what was the next day before he created this.

This chapter shows God's absolute power. And when he calls us his own, his children! Can you imagine being a child of some one more powerful than anything that has ever existed and will ever exist? That is unexplicable.

why is God using such terms as us,our and such? Sounds like he was not alone??

I Believe that this is were life started because darkness was a type of death and the spirit of god moved on the face of the water is he put life in the world when he breath on it.

genesis 1 verse 28 God gave a man a full package of blessings,so that he can be fruitful meaning that he can have abundance, multiply- a person can expand through diversification in each and every area of life to the extend of replenishing all the God given resources, the power of prevailing against each and every hindrance on earth that is the power to subdue aaaand having dominion over all the resources given by God.

Jesus in the flesh lived and died on the cross 2000 plus years ago. You have a flesh body and a spirit body inside as Paul through the Word says. Jesus also has a Spirit. His is Father,Son,Holy Spirit. His image was talking to ours,His children. He gave us that name and we believe in all He is and has done and that name Jesus opens up the way so we can speak to Him as His children.

In 2 Peter 3:5 pick up on the fact "were of old". And in verse 6 "the earth that was" being sunk in water, "Perished" and then in vs. 7 the fact Peter is speaking of the earth that he is standing on at that moment, this earth is kept in store for fire,judgement, death for ungodly men. So we see one earth, the world that was sunk in water and saved. Then the fallen angels left their first estate "heaven" satans bunch in Gen. 6 and keep trying to mess up the Plan of God by targeting that area where the Blood line of Christ was to come through, so, God sunk the angels and people who got involved with them. Noah didnt , him and his were clean. God has a plan. God is fair. God wants His children back, the ones that want to be good. So, God has let satan to "cause" the wicked to earth, Parable of the Sower.

After Jeremiah 4: 22 and on in the first washing then we read Gen.1:3 God turns light on. 4. God started feeling better. His emotions started feeling some better over what happened. God is love I think at this point He saw the children that loveand loved Him and as we read the scriptures we notice the prophecy for the children of the light are given in days, solar and them of the darknes, satan, given in moons or lunner. As we look at solar calender it is perfect because it never changes. The spring equinox hapens the same year in and year out. We determine with the solar calender Passover. 14 days plus one after the spring equinox and we have Passover. God was with us and the light was there and the light was good. Why? It was our Father! In Revelation 21:23 we read and see we need only Father and His. Shechinah Glory. No sun created by Him for us. Why? Because God is there!

Job 38:7 all the stars and sons of God that's every soul ever created. In Jeremiah 4:20 that Hebrew says God took the earth and wash it in the first flood sunk it in water and after the 2nd flood with Noah God set a rainbow and won't flood earth again but reserve until fire where He will burn evil off but that 5 months of Noah will happen again so wait for the true LORD don't get caught with a religious harlet with a false prophert(antichrist or instead of Christ) the devil Stole a third. Where ever God is-is Heaven. On earth there was a war God against a thief satan who stole Gods children. God mad turned the lights and Replenished the earth with the Good seed and the wicked one sends his tares/wicked seed.

In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. Everything was created by Him. Now about who sits near to Christ or if your color makes you first I wouldnt worry to much about all that if I were you. You need to seek Love in God for God is the Judge. God is Spirit and your worried about what you see and it is matter.

What had been there before?

This is God speakin and he said let us make man in our image after our likeness. So God is inlcuding himself withh other. hence the us and our...many say that the us was Son, Holy Ghost, and Father..however Jesus didnt exist til like 2011 years ago....and all mind you when he said make man..he was talking about another people being creadted. hence he had already created male and female so there was already a race of people here. Also all races came from that original race which was the black race. its simply that we are not in the saame image of a ghost lol. That Us And Our is black people and those are His(God) people. And white people are the ones that had domminace over the earth. These are facts. Black people are God people and that our and us simply means he is apart of that ppeople!

"And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which [is] upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which [is] the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat." Its interesting how it says earlier that God gave mankind dominion over fowl and beast, but never once does it say for you they will be meat, instead God instructs that the fruts of the trees yielding seeds will be meat. Very interesting I think as someone who leans towards eating less meat than some. Is it possible to have dominion without exploitation is the question this brings to mind. I for one believe yes.

The first day there was light and darkness separated, but on the 4th day he created the lights (the greater and the lesser) but on day 3 he created the plants (which need light to even grow)...Can I say the planning seems a bit unbelievable. Any thoughts?

I JUST WANT TO KNOW , ABOUT CHAPTER 1 VERSE 8, IT SAYS , there was evening and there was morning, a second day. BUT THERE IS NO MORNING AND EVENING THE ANOTHER DAY , WHY? BECAUSE IT SEEMS TO BE THE DAY IS TWELVE HOURS, BUT TO DAY WE CALL A DAY WHEN IT IS 24HRS, MY OPINION IS WE BETTER CALL THERE WAS MORNING AND EVENING THE DAY ONE, THEN THERE WAS EVENING AND MORNING THE SECOND DAY ,WE WOULD HAVE COUNTING CLEARLY, ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE.
IF YOU HAVE ANY GOOD ANSWER YOU MAY GIVE ME SUCH THAT I CAN BE IN GOOD POSITION.

I asked that same question about Genesis 1:28 of the King James Version! In todays english, replenish means to replace. What was replaced?

Man exist before Adam. Read carefully "REPLENISH" . This word only used twice in the Bible. The other time was after the great flood, in the passage where God was speaking to Noah.

"28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth."

I tend to believe that there is always more than meets the eye in the Word of God. He is a complex God with a simple message. I believe Genesis
to be multi-dimensional and believe we have only begun to scratch the surface of what is there in. I have undertaken a personal study of Genesis for years now and with each new answer comes more new questions. It's a spiral effect of which there seems to be no end. The only conclusion I've come to so far is that God will never be figured out by human reasoning. His truth is most intimately revealed through a personal relationship with Him. My Genesis study continues as more of a challenging puzzle.

God created the birds and fishes and then created man in his own image... and he also created man from the dust by breathing into his clay nostrils, and then created the fowl so that he wouldn't be alone?
Doesn't it have to be one or the other?

This passage right futher illistrates the awsomeness of GOD. He seperated the waters fom the waters and it also further proves the canvas theory. The bible is true as it is the word of GOD

I used to like reading Genesis 1 because it sounded pretty deep & special. This is before I ever became a true "born-again Christian believer". Now...., I can say it is without a doubt one of the most amazing, beautiful & wonderful verses in the entire Bible. There is a wealth of information & knowledge contained within this 1 chapter. It is almost unfathomable & impossible to fully understand. What a fantastic way for God to start off his "Everlasting Word".....,

it takes car factory in japan one hour to make a car, but explaining it to someone in africa he may not believe so God is far beyond our standing. or it took someone from battle a horse or best runner to convery a message but nowadays ? so explain that so someone 1000 years back?

"Let us make man in our image". is that like the royal "we"? or are there others like him but he's the biggest and therefore he said "it will be in my image"?

@mike A day to god is something of a thousand years to us. Going back to genesis 2:17
he says, "....for in [the day] that you eat it you will surely die."

now go to to genesis 5:5 "And all the years that Adam lived were [nine hundred and thirty years]: and he died."

He didn't live to complete the day in God's eyes, which is thought to be one thousand years or a millennium. So fundamentally speaking, its been [two days] since Jesus died, in god's eyes that is.

This passage of scripture is deep and straight to the point it says a lot and means a lot. I contemplated on ot for a while to make sure I understood what the scripture was saying. I found it to have broken down what God expected for us to know and that it was in the Hebrew tongue and should be understood as such. Praise God for a deeper understanding of his word. Amen.
