V. 16 - the lesser light to rule to rule the night. 2 Cor. 11:14 - and no marvel, for satan is transformed into an angel of light. Jesus (God) is light and in Him is no darkness at all. Jesus does rule this 'day', i.e. the age of grace; satan does rule the night, i.e. the darkness of evil. God created Lucifer (satan) as THE angel of light, but NOT as bright as Himself. hence 2 cor. 11:14

Mcw, 1:27 says "...male and female created he them.” One of each.

J. Berry - Gen. 1:3, then go to Rev. 21:23. God has a way of talking to us thru His word that only with the Holy Spirit in us to enlighten His Word , can it be understood. Genesis Chapter 1 and 2 are the same creation account. Chapter 2 just goes into more detail.

My comment is about Genesis chapter 1: 26. and 1:27. If Adam and Eve were our first parents, Genesis chapter 2, how could 1:26-28 be the Finish of God creating. According to 1:27 males and females were created on the sixth day and all creation was finished. So, many people were created on the sixth day and not just two. Therefore, Genesis chapter 2:7 must be a second creation, The Church, maybe.

I don't know why God chose to create light before He created the sun. I do believe that the order in which things were created is important. I think evolutionary theory would require that the sun exist before light. I know that only God could create light before He created the sun! We have a very awesome God!

Even before sin intruded, we have an indication of God's plan for humans. "God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness." - Gen. 1:26. The 'image' God refers to is God's spiritual, rational, moral, and emotional nature, not a physical image, as God is not physical, but a spirit, and cannot be seen.

Malcom, and others; The answer is that God's understanding and wisdom is like His divine power; of which there is no measure or number! In wisdom He has made them all; and He created them out of nothing. In other words; there wasn't anything that has come into being, that was made out of something that before existed; but God spoke, from out of His knowledge and understanding, and they became!

Lu2677 I have been away from access. In Luke 1:5 Luke tells us what week this story begins . I gave you this information. When he arrived home Elizabeth conceived and 6 months later she was with Mary. This is late December if you do the math. Forty weeks later Jesus is born on the Feast of Tabernacles. This is the math. As you can see it is 3rd grade math. It is just no one wants to do it.

These are obstacles you will encounter in witnessing God's truth.I have been rebuked by many in the truth that Jesus Christ is our salvation as well as the salvation for the Jews. Jeremiah10:2 tells me not to follow the way of the heathen, sound doctrine, how could this verse harden my heart, Lorin? Luke 2:34 is God telling Mary and Joseph that Jesus will be a "sign that will be spoken against." You accuse me wrongly, I speak against the holiday that is based on pagan not bliblical truth, I do not speak against His Son our Lord. I don't see any math in Luke 1 and 2.

Lorin, All I need to know and understand about our Lord is in His Word, and in my heart by His grace through faith. I don't think I need a Hebrew calendar, to understand His Word. His salvation is for the Jews and Gentiles.

The new moon in 5BC was April 6th. This is signs written in the Heavens he created.Passover was April 22. Feast of Tabernacles on 4 BC was Oct 4th. As I said Dec 25th is close. Hope you can follow the math in Luke chapter 1 and 2.

The courses of David are given in 1 Chronicles 24 and 25. The course of Abijah is the 8th week high weeks New Moon (1st of year,passover,)
So the 8th course is the 10th week after the 1st of the Hebrew calendar. This is all the basics you need to figure what Christmas really is. From here it is basic math. I hope you find this helpful. The first of Lev 23 is last.Last becomes first.

The entire book of Leviticus relates to Jesus Christ. THEREFORE Leviticus 23 the Laws of the Lord are all pertaining to the Messiah.
