Bro Timothy has a lot of questions. I think he needs to read more of his bible. This story of Abram is just one of GOD'S promises being fulfilled. God is an awesome God and He can not lie. He always keeps His promises. They are on His time not ours. 1 day for us can be a 1000.00 yrs for him. In verse 6 it says Abram believed God and God counted it to him for righteousness. In verse 8 Abram is questioning the Lord, how is to know of this inheritance, the Lord is very faithful in keeping His promises and showing us when we ask Him things. Praise God:)

Jeff, I do not believe the stars are infinite and the bible does not indicate this, it says that they cannot be numbered. Even with our technology today we cannot number the stars or the descendants of Abraham.

i believe it has one of the greatest promises God gave to man and it teaches us to have faith and hold on to the lords promises for our lives regardless of how hopeless our situation might be

Hello X I understand how you feel about what is going on in Ferguson, Missouri. It is a shame that after all of these years we are still fighting for the basic of rights. However, if you are saved, truly saved then you will exodus out of here. Following Acts 2 38 not only allows one to put on the name of Jesus Christ, but it gives people the power to go up when the rapture takes place. The beauty part about this is that not only will Black people exodus out but other ethnic groups who have followed Acts 2 38. When you read Acts 2 39 it does not put a time limit on the effectiveness of the promise nor does it limit to a certain group of people. This promise if for both Jew and Gentiles and if you are not born a Jew then you are a Gentile no matter what color you are.

I was also caught by this believing in what God says as righteousness. So doing right is not righteousness,and going to church is not righteousness.THIS IS AMAZING. ALL OUR DOING GOOD WORKS MEANS NOTHING,BUT GOD BEING GOD. JUST REQUIRES THAT WE BELIEVE IN HIM,HIS WORD.THIS IS PRAISE WORTHY.

I do believe this word of God to Abraham which he believed was the greatest faith have found in the scripture till now. I know faith is the force that moves God. His love is incomparable and indisputable.

God alone sees the end from the beginning and nothing can take God by surprise. It is like a film producer who knows how the script will end. If you have never watched the film, you will be 'tensed ' during the film as you do not know the outcome. Not so with God as He is the Omniscient knows all things and works everything out for His Glory. He knew that Israel would be under Egyptian bondage for 400 yrs. He knew that the wicked Hitler will kill over 6 million Jews during the holocaust. He knew that many nations will gather against Israel but HE IS FULLY IN CONTROL and none of His promises for the nation of Israel and for Christians will fail. He does not sleep nor slumber and He alone can kill and make alive I samuel 2 6 . If God wants to use you, He will pass you through fire to purify and cleanse you as He will never share His Glory with man! Today, Egypt cannot match Israel in economic or military power!
