Love the Lord with all thy heart, and lean not, on thine own understanding, in all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy path. Everyday we thank the Lord, and call out to Him, in Prayer, and Thanksgiving, We are carnal, in knowledge, and His knowledge is infinite! So don t sweat the small stuff!
  • Doug on Genesis 2 - 6 years ago
In 1st Corinthians 5:7, Paul states that Christ became our Passover. Passover is the "High Sabbath". Debating which day is the Sabbath is senseless without Christ, and with Christ, every day should be your Sabbath as I assure you that no rest will be found without the One True Sabbath as your LORD
  • A disciple on Genesis 2 - 6 years ago
Sharon; The Sabbath is the seventh day. The seventh day was named Saturday by the heathen after their god of agriculture, Saturn. There is no corroboration in Scripture for Sunday being made the Sabbath. The Sabbath remained the seventh day in the early days, although they came together for Assembly and to break bread on the first of the week. Israel is 10 hours difference from us, not 3 days.
  • Sharon on Genesis 2 - 6 years ago
The Sabbath was meant for the whole world...not necessarily just America...so...the Sabbath is not Saturday...God said work 6 days and rest on the 7th day... He didn't say work 6 days of the week and then rest on the 7th day of the week...because if its Saturday in America then its Tuesday in Jerusalem
  • Claudette on Genesis 2 - 7 years ago
It is so awesome to know that even God rested- Not on any day but on the creation Sabbath-Saturday. God realized that man would need to rest so he gave us the example by resting Himself. Follow Him!

The Tree of Knowledge is this: Knowledge in Mans hand is tainted. If he ate of it he would assume equality to God.Thus it was forbidden under penalty of banishment. We must only trust in the judgement of God, for that is life! Man independent of God is Ego. It is limited, corrupt, inherantly false. All of God's prophets were in touch with God and only spoke what was Commanded by Him,blessed be
  • A disciple on Genesis 2 - 7 years ago
"But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die." The world we know right now, and our own lives, show the fact done by that Word of God. Ashes to ashes and dust to dust; disobedience of the Word is defiance against the Spirit of Life in that Word; and so alienation in mind and of nature out of course.
  • Walter on Genesis 2 - 7 years ago
It is the continuation of chapter 2. God rested on the seventh day. The creation of man was explained in this chapter and Man sole purpose of being on this earth. Also the purpose of the woman was explaining as well. Man takes orders from the Lord himself and the woman assist with the man from the orders that have been given by the Lord himself.

Cheryl (I'm having problems uploading regardless what device I use), 1 Cor 15:45a "And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul..." I think your original question was "when did man become a spirit?" The answer is at creation. The spirit died because of sin but the spirit is born again when we are saved. 1 Cor 15:45 "the last Adam [was made] a quickening spirit."
  • A disciple on Genesis 2 - 7 years ago
Cheryl; We are not only flesh and bones, but living souls. It is the spirit in us that animates our bodies. The spirit is the life and the breath; and the life is in the blood. To think that a man is only a body makes no sense: for how then do you account for the decay and corruption that consumes a dead body? The spirit of a man present in the body shows he is alive; and the spirit absent, death!
  • Jeff Berry on Genesis 2 - 7 years ago
John 4:24 "God is a Spirit...."
  • A disciple on Genesis 2 - 7 years ago
Cheryl; "If not a man be born from above; he cannot SEE the kingdom of heaven...unless a man be born of the water and of the Spirit; he cannot enter the kingdom of heaven... The words I speak unto you are Spirit, and they are life." The Preacher wrote; "Who knows the spirit of man which goes upward? and, Then shall the spirit return to God that made it."

Good morning, I am looking for clarity on verses 4 and 5 please. It sounds as if there were some form of entity before God created all of this???

  • Jim on Genesis 2 - 7 years ago
In verse 2:21 we find the shedding of blood and adam put under for his bride, which is a picture of Jesus Christ shedding his blood and dying for his bride which is the church.
  • Jessi Chapman on Genesis 2 - 7 years ago
I believe when the Word referred to rib it was speaking of RNA. Man and woman become as one by combining chromosomes and a child is born as it says man will leave his parents to do. Also, Satan has many names as revelation says. Far as the Sabbath goes Hebrews tells us the Sabbath can be any day of the week once Christ was resurrected.
  • Agatha on Genesis 2 - 7 years ago
The Lord rested on the 7th day, he did not say He rested on the resurrection day.
  • Melissa knowles on Genesis 2 - 7 years ago
What is the devil's real name
  • Felicia on Genesis 2 - 7 years ago
Christine, when we begin our journey with the Lord we turn to ask many questions, but that is okay because we want to know all about God at a go which is not possible by no means. However as we continue steadily searching Him through scripture God reveals Himself and we get most of our questions answered by the Word of God and we become satisfied and friends of God and not angry with God.
  • Donna Cromb on Genesis 2 - 7 years ago
We use Sunday as God's holy day because that's the day Jesus was resurrected from the dead. The Jews and 7th Day Adventist church use Saturday as the Sabbath, God's holy day. Does it matter which day? I don't think so, my Lord and Savior arose Sunday from the dead, so I worship God that day. If others do it Saturday that's their way. Have u heard of a circumsized heart that makes days immaterial.
  • A disciple on Genesis 2 - 7 years ago
Christine; How are you not afraid to reproach God's character? Wasn't that the very thing that the woman sinned in, when she was beguiled by slandering God? That kind of thinking comes right from the devil! As to why God created the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil; there's a LOT of things we have to learn from God, what is His purpose in them! God made everything VERY GOOD! Men have corrupted!
