Hello Mark I would like to make a correction. It is Mark 8 24 that the blind man is talking about the trees.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Genesis 2 - 10 years ago
Hello Word Can you give us an example of where God is referring to men as trees? Now I know that in Mark 8 34 it states the following And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking. However, this is not Jesus Christ talking this is the blind man that Jesus just healed. Mark is giving the account of what happened. If you read Verse 23 after Jesus spit on his eyes and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought. Then the blind man answered in Verse 24. Could you tell me where it states that any of the trees could think? When I read about the tree of knowledge of good and evil this does not mean that the tree could think this means that if a person at off of the tree their mind would be opened up unto good and evil. And in Judges Chapter 9 Jotham is making parables.

Lee checking out the word trees the ones God said Adam and Eve could eat were fruit trees. But the othe tree which was Satan anyway check out tree and that tree had a nerves system and could think. This is like when God speaking of Satan in Ezekiel around chapter 30 where Satan is the Assyrian. Anyway God through the scriptures talks about men as trees.

Hello JD Davis I understand what you are saying. However, it does not matter if Eve heard it directly from God or from Adam the point is that she disobeyed God 's word. Then Adam disobeyed God 's word and this is what brought on the curses, Romans 5 12 "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned
  • JD Davis on Genesis 2 - 10 years ago
God told Adam not to eat of the tree in the middle of the garden before Eve was created. Apparently having received the warning second hand, did Eve fully understand the implications of eating from the tree.

    So God spoke English?
  • Bro Bing on Genesis 2:16 - 10 years ago
When the Lord Almighty Father commanded man to freely eat every fruits of trees in the Garden, these Trees are the trees that we saw in the field or in the mountain and in the backyard. Trees that bears fruits, fruits that we saw in the market, in the stores. The other Tree that is also in the midst of the garden was a forbidden fruit, fruits of knowledge of good and evil, if thou you touch it or eat it, thou shalt surely die. The tree of life, acknowledge the good and evil, a seed of disobedience to the law of God. Man separated from God and God wisdom, and separated from God 's spirit, man 's spirit die in connection to God 's spirit and lost. From then, man lives on human 's will instead of the God 's will because Adam and Eve while in the garden committed the mortal sin when the serpent seed was implanted in them. They were deceived by Satan, Lucifer.

Hello Anonymous If I am understanding your question correctly, Moses wrote the accounts as God inspired him.
  • Anonymous on Genesis 2:3 - 10 years ago
Why does God say what God has created instead of what I or He has created ?
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Genesis 2 - 10 years ago
Hello Lee Please read on page 1 of Genesis Chapter 1 where I gave George Hartwell the explanation to the same question you are asking. I cannot explain it no better than this about the animals.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Genesis 2 - 10 years ago
Hello Lee The word But is being used here as a conjunction. The word But is used to introduce something contrasting with what has already been mentioned. Have you ever informed someone you can make yourself at home, but do not go into my room and touch my things? This is what God did. If I can say it like this, he said alright now you can eat of everything but this tree. Do not eat of this tree of knowledge of good and evil. See when God stated that man was in his imagine he was not talking about skin color he was talking about some of his attributes. Do me a favor please read my comments I made on page 2 of Chapter 1 of Genesis to Anonymous on 10 10 14 at 1 18 pm. I cannot explain it no better than that. My point is this same God that made us gave us the intelligent to use the word But as a conjunction, then why can t God use it as a conjunction? When you think about it he used it first. We would not even have words or language if God had not given them to us.
  • Lee on Genesis 2 - 10 years ago
in chapter 1 man is made after the beast and fowl in chapter 2 god makes all the beast and fowl and brang it to the man
  • Lee on Genesis 2 - 10 years ago
so god commanded the man saying OF EVERY TREE OF THE GARDEN THOU MAYEST FREELY EAT then told hem BUT OF THE TREE OF KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL THOU SHALT NOT EAT then he can 't freely eat of every tree of the garden and why is it so bad to know good from evil.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Genesis 2 - 10 years ago
In addition to my response to Joseph, which I hope will come out today or tomorrow. The only thing in this Dispensation that we are currently living in, the Dispensation of Grace, is that you get saved according to Acts 2 38. In the end, tribulation is coming death, destruction, and judgment. If you are not ready then you will either be apart of the tribulation or you will die without having put on the name of Jesus Christ therefore condemning yourself to eternity with Satan and his followers. So get saved according to Acts 2 38 and stay saved.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Genesis 2 - 10 years ago
Hello Joseph After each creation that was done I believe it states the beginning and the ending of a day the evening and the morning were the first day and so forth. Remembering God is Omnipotent he can do anything he wants. In Revelation 22 5 And there shall be no night there and they need no candle, neither light of the sun for the Lord God giveth them light and they shall reign for ever and ever . We know that there will definitely be one tree and that is the tree of life. In the end, it is man s wavering faith that continues to question what God can do. If people believe that there is a God then why can t people believe that he can do all things? I do not have to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that the creation happened, I believe in God and his Word. It is written that it happened, it happened. Once again it does not matter if he created man on the sixth day or the seventh day the important note here to me is that he made it a point for Moses to write that man was the only creature created with a soul. This is significant for all of those people who think animals are human beings.
  • Joseph on Genesis 2:7 - 10 years ago
I believe the issue some people are having as to how long was day in the book of Genesis can be clarified Chapter 1 23 . You have to remember plants and animals need night and day , plants can 't servive a thousand years of dark and thousand years of light! Also the earth had to be rotating at the same speed it Is now.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Genesis 2 - 10 years ago
Hello George I sent one more comment on the Creation. I hope it comes out. Some scholars say man was created on the 6th day. Some scholars say that he created man on the 7th day and that on the 6th day he was thinking about it. Once again either way he created man after the animals and plants. He described how he done things in Chapter 2.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Genesis 2 - 10 years ago
In the end, George, we can debate, discuss, and talk all day on the creation it still happened. On faith I believe that God did what the Bible states he done. I have experienced Acts 2 38, by the grace of Jesus Christ, who is God manifested in the flesh. I have spoken in other tongues as the spirit of God give utterance. So regardless to how anyone wants to dispute the creation I believe what is written. I believe that the creation, the flood, the mass exodus of the Israelites and other accounts in the Bible actually happened. AMEN.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Genesis 2 - 10 years ago
Hello George Does rest mean that he went to sleep? Not all the time does rest mean to sleep does it? When you rest do you go to sleep or do you relax. When you have finished a project that you are creating don 't you stop and enjoy what you have created? I think he merely stopped for a moment in his time and admired what he had done. If the scripture states he rested then he rested. Does this negate his power? The answer is, no it does not. Here is one scripture that talks about his omnipotence. Revelation 19 6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
  • Brad on Genesis 2 - 10 years ago
Wonderful, the word of God. Chpt.2 tells us about the tree of life and of good and evil. This is where get confused. God is setting up his plan for man to use man 's free will and freedom of choice. Yes, man 's responsibility begins right here. Note it never ends. Even when saved man 's responsibility never ends. What am I saying! It is the responsibility of decision. Following through to revelations, man 's responsibility to God remains.
  • George on Genesis 2 - 10 years ago
On what day did He make man? Surely not on the seventh, so it must have been later. And Eve didn 't exist when He told Adam not to eat of the tree, so how can she be blamed?
  • George on Genesis 2 - 10 years ago
So God needs to rest? He was apparently not omnipotent. I wonder where that notion came from?
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Genesis 2 - 10 years ago
Hello Brin If you look at it from this perspective, Eve was created to meet his needs as a wife. Is changing this word that important at this point and time in our history. The answer is no, because when you look at verse 25 this let us know that she was created to be his wife. The focus during this time period is whether or not you are saved. Read the Word of God and get saved according to Acts 2 38. Time is winding up. The stage is being set and the players are almost in place. If you want to be saved from the tribulation, hell, and the second death which burneth with fire and brimstone then get saved everyone by following Acts 2 38.
  • Brin on Genesis 2 - 10 years ago
At the end of versus 18 and 20, should not the words be "a help mate " instead of "an help meet "?
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Genesis 2 - 10 years ago
Also Jeffrey Chorn To enhance what you stated 1 Corinthians 15 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. Romans 5 17 For if by one man s offence death reigned by one much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ. Romans 5 19 For as by one man s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous . If I can say it like this Adam s disobedience brought sin into this world. However, the obedience of Jesus Christ many shall be forgiven their sins through Acts 2 38. Thank you Jesus Christ.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Genesis 2 - 10 years ago
Hello Jeffrey Chorn I am not sure I am understanding your comment. Perhaps you meant to put this comment under some other passage of scriptures. Because this Chapter 2 is not talking about the fall of mankind nor is it talking about using us to defeat Satan. Genesis Chapter 2 is talking about the first Sabbath, the garden of Eden, the tree of knowledge of good and evil. The creatures named. The making of woman, and institution of marriage. I do not see anywhere where it is talking about what you pointed out.
  • Jeffrey Chorn on Genesis 2 - 10 years ago
Genesis chapter two talks about the fall of man kind, but he also talks how he was going to use us to defeat Satan at the end. Little did Satan know that god would send a second Adam to unite us back with him. I thank God for Jesus.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Genesis 2 - 10 years ago
In these passages of scriptures what stands out to me is verse 7. After God in Genesis chapter 1 made all the other living creatures on the earth, He then made man. What is very interesting is that God made it a point for Moses to write that Genesis 2 7 And the LORD GOD formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul . See this is significant because man was the only creature that God gave a soul to. I do not know how this thing about animals having souls and going to heaven got started, but animals do not have souls. I did not read anything about domestic cats, felines in reference to domestic cats , however, lions who are in the cat family are mentioned but it does not say they are going to Heaven. Animals have no souls. I do not want anyone to get the wrong idea.. I do not believe in animal cruelty however, I do not think that it warrants a Federal indictment.

Oh yes, Casto! God did some work on that day. He created "rest " or "sabbath " on the 7th day.
  • Word on Genesis 2 - 10 years ago
Greg when we love Christ we are on the right path. But when you read the book of John where Christ is speaking to Nicodemus one of the priest that was a good man you find out that born again is 509 from 507 which means born from above and as you read down to verse 11 or13 where ever the subject ends you will see it makes more sense. Christ was saying that all have to be born of woman, came from above, Father, to earth. Preacher 's only teach milk, salvation over and over, come to Jesus and never get to the meat of the subjects contained in the word. We were with God and he took us and put us in a womb to complete his plan. We are all born again that are on earth so when a preacher ask you if your born again say, yeah?
