The coronavirus is not end times. The world has gone through numerous pandemics, some of which continue yet today. To name a few pandemics...The 1918 flu, polio, malaria, SARS, MERS, AIDS. The Bubonic Plague killed 74 million people. That is only to name a few, there have been many more.

What else did Jesus say to those that thought that their works were important to salvation If ye were of Abraham, you would do the works of Abraham. Is that a contradiction No. What does the Bible say that Abraham did, his work Genesis states that Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him (Abraham) as righteousness. Your faith is what saves you, not your works. The story of Cain and Abel, is the story of the flesh (Cain), versus the Spirit of God (Abel), and how the flesh is always inferior to the Spirit. The Bible says that those that live in the flesh cannot please God, thus Cain's offering was not accepted, because it came from his ego, and his flesh. God bless, in Jesus' name.

The common thought is, that the offering that Cain gave was based on ego. Cain was basically saying: "Look at me, look at what I have done." Exalting himself, while trying to look pious. Basically, a humble-brag. In addition, Abel's offering is a foreshadowing of the sacrifice of Christ, and is meant to teach that there is no acceptance without the blood. You can also look at it in this context, the Israelites of old thought that they were safe from condemnation based entirely on their works. The Israelites said to Christ: We have Abraham as our father, but what did Jesus say to them That their father was the devil, and their works were false. Cain believed in his works, and Abel had faith

I have never understood why God was disappointed with Cain's gifts from tilling the earth?

Here's a related verse: 2 Corinthians 6:14. I think it's good to share the gospel, be a living testimony and give people a chance, however. That's my opinion. People should generally not expect someone else to change, however.

What about different religions falling in love? If we love Jesus with all our heart might and sole should we not stay from the heart

Just know that you do not have to go to a church to be saved. What saves you is coming to a place of brokenness where you see your own sins and how you have to repent and turn from your sins and turn to Christ Jesus and make him Lord over everything in your life. He will then give you a new heart that has new desires and wants to please and serve Him only. That is why the pastor said that if you can't pin point a time when you were saved, then it wasn't a true conversion. God bless you.

I thought that I was saved for close to 9 years and at church camp last year the speaker us going around the room asking when we got saved saying that if we was truly saved we should be able to tell him when we got saved and the whole time I was hoping he wouldn't call on me. I could not think of when I got saved, that is when I truly realized I was not saved. I denied it for about half a year then one day I was at my sisters church and the pastor was talking about when the Lord comes back how we need to be ready, I kept on talking my self out of going to the alter because I didn't go there. The next Sunday my preacher preached on the exact same thing and I went to the alter and got saved.

Nobody on earth knows why the corona virus is happening but, we do know that the Lord has a plan for us and we just have to trust him through it all. Even if it gets hard to stay in the Word it is important to know that we have a God that is always with us, even if it feels like God isn't there with you then you have moved away from God. He never leaves us.

Revelation 6:9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
These souls are in heaven awaiting their resurrection new bodies. they are with Christ.

Which is the true answer from the Bible only. Does our spirit go up to heaven right after death? Or do we all wait in our graves for our Lord Jesus to take us up with him in the end?

read Gen. again. Adam and Eve had more sons and daughters. Where do you think Cain got his wife? From one of his sisters.
  • Job - In Reply on Genesis 4 - 4 years ago
No, You are here, are you not. Jesus said where 2 or three are gathered together (Christians), There I am amongst them. So we are the church.

I don't know the outcome but in Revelations there is a virus that comes before the end which will kill 1/3 of the people on earth. Could it be the coronavirus?

The Bible says not to forsake gathering together. Our testimonies help others who are going through trials. Although it's not good for us to hole up in the house 24/7.
I think we are all gathering together on here, don't you? It helps me see what everyone else is writing. :)

Assembling and fellowship is recommended to keep strong in faith and keep accountability. I think God is a fair judge. I think there are situations where getting together with other believers is a challenge. Some missionaries are alone. Some have high responsibility at work that limits other interactions. What does your heart say? Do you have the holy spirit inside you convicting you one way or the other? These are important considerations. Christians are intended to be part of the Christian church community. During times of a corona virus I think online allows us to still have a valid connection with other believers.
  • Adam - In Reply on Genesis 4 - 4 years ago
God allows things to happen that we consider 'bad'. Life is a test and we're all going to die. The only thing undetermined is when. Have we considered the consequences of our actions? Have we loved others and chosen to follow Jesus?

If you don't go to church all the time, but you pray daily, will God use that against us?
  • Abel - In Reply on Genesis 4 - 4 years ago
I interpret this passage as meaning that Cain had brought a subpar offering to God, and that Abel had brought a good offering -- the nature of the offering (fruit vs. meat) was not necessarily important. Maybe Cain brought spoiled or weak fruits, implying that Cain was lazy and uncaring, while Abel brought well-fed animals for slaughter, implying that Abel was hardworking.
  • Abel on Genesis 4 - 4 years ago
If God created humans in Adam and Eve, and Adam and Eve only had two children (Abel and Cain), then who is Cain afraid will slay him after he slays Abel? Who does Cain take as his wife from the land of Nod? Who lived in the land of Nod, if not humans created by God?
