Did Noah bring poisonous snakes on the Ark ? And tapeworms and scorpions ? I guess he had to. That 's too bad.

Hello Heather Romans 5 12 " Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned It was Adam actions that brought about sin.
  • Heather on Genesis 7 - 10 years ago
This chapter is so great, that from one "little " sin in the Garden man has now progressed or regressed to murder Cain ,fornication and everything else. To have made God think He had made a mistake creating us, we must be rather awful...

Hello Dharam That is a beautiful type and shadow that you gave. Jesus is our Ark. We must follow Acts 2 38 in order to be saved. This is how we are in Jesus Christ spiritual ark.
  • Dharam on Genesis 7 - 10 years ago
The Ark was actually a type of Jesus. Just like all who were in the ark were saved so all who are in Jesus will be saved.

Hello Insight 777 To further explain. In Matthew Jesus was explaining that no man knows when he is coming back. However, the signs will show like in Noah s day. They will be eating and drinking, marring and given in marriage, Matthew 24 36 thru 38. See the Bible You know how it states out of the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established. 2 Corinthians 13 1 This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established . I believe that Jesus was validating the story of Noah. He reminded the people of that event. How do we know that 26 million life forms were on the Ark.? It did not give the number. Back then it may not have been all of the species that we have now. Remember there are new species being discovered all the time. God is Omniscient, all knowing, I am quite sure that he had Noah build the Ark that would hold all the species of that time. Remember the Word of God is truth. John 17 17 "Sanctify them through thy truth thy word is truth ".
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Genesis 7 - 10 years ago
Hello Insight 777 No, the story of Noah is very real. It happened. I was not there, but since the Word of God cannot lie then I take it on faith that it actually happened. Jesus used it as an example of what is going to be going on during the last days of this Earth and this Heaven. God is going to destroy this Earth and this Heaven with fire this time.
  • Insight 777 on Genesis 7 - 10 years ago
Jesus said the only sign given to man about the end of days is Noah. Perhaps the story of Noah is a parable ment only as a warning for the people at the end of days as told of in Revelation. For all the fountains of the great deep to be broken up and rise to the surface, it is reasonable that a great worldwide earthquake would occur. This could be a tectonic type of event where the continents move out of position like the greatest earthquake fortold in Revelation. The most precise calculation ever offered for the estimated total number of species on Earth is 6.5 million species found on land and 2.2 million dwelling in the ocean. The entering of all known species in taxonomic databases such as the Catalogue of Life and the World Register of Marine Species makes analysis possible. A minimum of 4 each 2 pairs is 26 million living creatures on the ark. But with 14 of each clean animal specie onboard that is vastly more than 26 million. A dutch contractor Johan Huibers finished building an exact replica of Noah s Ark in April 2007. The Ark is huge but it is unreasonable to think that vastly more than 26 million life forms could fit inside of the ark. That also supports the story of Noah as a parable and not literal.
  • Greg coalla on Genesis 7 - 10 years ago
7 's means 14 and less with unclean, else, according to Steven 's comment when Noah sacrificed later on he would have wiped a species by doing so if there were only two. Seven is a sacred number in the eyes of our God

A mist UP from the earth is not the same as rain coming DOWN. It must have been a tropical climate. In the beginning the earth did not exist Genesis 1,2
  • JB on Genesis 7 - 10 years ago
In the beginning water covered the entire earth. However GOD divided the waters from the waters. He simply reversed what HE did in the beginning, which took a total of 40 days to complete. Also it did automatically rain on the earth before this took place or nothing living would have lived Gen. 2 6 please read.
  • Mark on Genesis 7 - 10 years ago
Noah was the 7th Great Grandson of Adam. The flood happened about 1,656 years after the creation of Adam. Joseph the husband of Mary was the 56th Great Grandson of Adam.
  • Mark on Genesis 7 - 10 years ago
7 sets of male and female of the clean for a total of 14, 2 sets of male and female of those that are not clean for a total of 4.
  • Steven on Genesis 7:2 - 10 years ago
Neal Depends on what translation you use 'by two, the male and his female. ' I interpret this as only two of each kind.
  • Dawn smith on Genesis 7 - 10 years ago
I think when it talk about the waters of the flood they were rain, the water under the earth burst forth and the water over the earth a kind of shield burst as well so water from two directions. also burst there had not been any rain before the flood
  • Ar on Genesis 7 - 10 years ago
Vs 11 first refers to fountains of the great deeps then to rain which is referred to as the windows of heaven were opened It is obvious that when God saperated the dry land from the water on the third day of creation much water was left under the dry land We can see this in the volcanic eruptions today of which 70 pct is water mostly in the form of steam Also have in min that it had never rained before I believe that the temperature of the earth was the same everywhere then The climatic changes came little by little during the centuries
  • Davie on Genesis 7 - 10 years ago
the waters of the flood came not only from above but from under the earth also there was a much higher oxygen level then with a great canopy above God brought that down which is why all life grows much smaller now with shorter lifespans also there is found fossils of sea creatures on tops o the highest mountains plus other cool facts that prove the biblical account check out some good creation ministrys out there or u could jus believe the bible as TRUE science confirms the word every time
  • Andrew on Genesis 7 - 10 years ago
if all the ice on the planet melted and all the clouds rained till they were gone from the sky there still would not be enough rise in water on the land to cover more than lowlands so where did all the water come from
  • Roberta on Genesis 7 - 10 years ago
What word is in chapter 7 that not found in the rest of the bible except in Revelation
  • Joy on Genesis 7 - 10 years ago
One thing i dont understand is if the sea animals also were destroyed in the flood because i didnot read where God told Noah to bring in sea animals also
  • Solomon gallagher on Genesis 7 - 10 years ago
Hey KS Ready good eye examination of the Bible up to Noah and the flood Yes God doesn t command anyone how to behave he gave one rule to Adam and Eve don t eat the firbidden fruit As a result of breaking that commandment all men and woman obtain the knowledge of good and evil We are all born that we live and understand good and evil it is as natural to us as learning how to eat or wanting to protect our children The people in Noah s era knew what was right and what was wrong The flood is such a big part in the Bible because it shows for the first time God delivering absolute justice to all mankind
  • Neal on Genesis 7:2 - 10 years ago
Seven pairs of clean animals (14 of a kind) and two of each unclean. Two pairs! That's 4 animals of each kind, not two. No one gets this right. Yet it is written clearly. So what else do we have wrong? Most likely everything we hold as true.
  • K S REDDY on Genesis 7 - 10 years ago
God destroyed every thing except Noah's family and some animals/creatures/birds.The reason is they are evil, violent, wicked etc Up to chapter-7 nothing said about how they have to behave.
  • Susan Dalton on Genesis 7 - 10 years ago
"And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven were covered." Genesis 7:19

If man tried to escape the flood waters and ran to the high hills - he could not escape. If there was a global flood today, man with his knowledge and technology may would escape to the moon, or, the space station; or, fly around in space till the waters receded. Yet, though man can go into space, he is still earth dependent. Those in space cannot survive but for so long without those on earth and without those things put here on earth for man. Man is dependent on earth for his physical life.
  • Richard on Genesis 7 - 11 years ago
I did leave some information out however that is the truth however there is a way to see it even clearer than that but I will not reveal that to you for you deserve the Holy Spirit and you deserve your crown..
  • Createams on Genesis 7 - 11 years ago
This is the first destruction of all the living soul’s on earth with the exception of Noah and his family because. Gen 7:1 And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation. Gen 7:15 And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life. Gen 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Adam was something new that God had created on the eighth day and in him (breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.) Rom. 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. So if it’s hard to believe that all life died in the flood you can believe. Gen 7:22 All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died. Gen 7:24 And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.
  • Createams on Genesis 7 - 11 years ago
Junel Gen 9:28 And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years.
Diane Jauber Gen7:7 And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.
  • Diane Jauber on Genesis 7:15 - 11 years ago
Does this mean that other people as well went into the ark in verse 7:15? They went with Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh in which is the breath of life.
