How does one discern Signs and Wonders from God above, or from evil spirits?
Jesus said there will be no signs except the Sign of Jonah. Jesus fulfilled that sign with His Ressurrection. The other Sign of Jonah is preaching the Word.
So these TV Preachers are faking healings, visions, tongues, etc...
If there really was a sign, I wouldn't believe it.
Falling away is Not The Rapture as a few suppose...Falling away has taken place right now...We are No Longer on Fire for The Lord. We are for Luke Warm and given to Idols and fornification both in and out of Churches....We are for the most part t he same as The Laodician Church.
The Great Trib is God's Way of Bringing Us To Repentance.. 2nd Chron 7:14 comes to mind.
1 Timothy Chapter 1: 9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
2 Timothy Chapter 3
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers...
How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him...
Mark 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Matthew 20:23 And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.
Genesus 1:26 Let US make man, Matthew 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Brianna, here are some more KJV Bible Scriptures that proves that Jesus Christ was Almighty God. Matthew 1:23John 5:23John 8:58John 14:9-11John 10:30-33John 20:28John 14:6-72 John 1:71 Timothy 3:161 Timothy 6:14-16Hebrews 2:17-18Hebrews 4:15-16Hebrews 1:8-91 Peter 2:24John 15:13Romans 5:8Philippians 2:5-7.
Brianna, please read and ponder on these KJV Bible scriptures, and know that our Lord Jesus Christ was Almighty God. Titus 2:13Acts 20 28 Revelation 1:5-6Revelation 5:8-9Revelation 22:13Revelation 22:16Revelation 2:8Revelation 1:17-18Isaiah 9:6Isaiah 43:10-11Isaiah 44:6Isaiah 44:242 Peter 1:1John 1:3Colossians 1:16Colossians 2:9John 1:1-3John 5:17-18John 8:24.
I find that the mystery is for beyond our understanding. I know we acknowledge John 3:16 to be our salvation, but Genesis 1:26 fits well with this being the holy trinity
I found Hebrews 1,2 to paint a clear picture of who Jesus is and his role. He is the Son of God. It speaks about how he had to come down to earth as a human so that he could become a merciful and faithful high priest over God's children. He had to suffer to know how to rescue us who suffer. So Jesus wouldn't be almighty God, but he is appointed as God to be King over his kingdom. He was trained.
wow, the commentary by Henry for this chapter is very sobering. this book very well describes Jesus as the anchor of our souls. the first few verses remind us to be thankful for salvation and to hold onto it with all our strength. Also, the reminder that we have been bought for a price.
Just because someone is encouraging others in righteousness does NOT mean they don’t repent or get the plank out of their own eye first. Righteousness is still right, and sin not only separates us from God, but does lead to death. 1 John 3:15 15Anyone who hates a brother or sister is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him.
He took not on himself the seed of angels ( the lesser glory ) but the seed of Abraham the greater Glory as Abraham was a type of God the father that offered up his only son God almighty told Abraham i am thy great and exceeding reward thus the true heavenly seed of Abraham IS God Almighty. ITS NOT ABOUT CHRIST TAKING ON THE SEED OF TH JEWS AS JESUS SAID B/F ABRAHAM WAS I AM. JEWS MUST BE BORNAGIN
What Christ did to gives us Victory over our enemy death is to be received by surrendering to the perfect will of God in our heart, soul, mind, body, and strength to live Holiness unto the Lord which death hath no part of but eternal life will be the fruit of our labours.
Verse 18~Jesus himself dealt with being tempted by Satan shortly after his baptism. He can sympathize with us when we are tempted and he shows the way to come off victorious.
servant (cont.) The Born From Above are passed from death to life, from the power of Satan unto GOD. Remember how Cain's countenance fell, and he became so angry that he killed his brother? Because his own works were evil, and he was not respected by God because of HIS HYPOCRISY AND FALSENESS OF CHARACTER! It wasn't Abel who was the liar and the hypocrite! It was the one who despised the Saviour!
servant; however, contrary to the 'holier than thou' Pharisee, who wouldn't repent himself, but could only go about as an adversary and accuser of the Lord and His disciples; it was the sinners, the tax gatherers and the harlots, who repented and became disciples, who were justified in God's sight. Better look to the beam in one's own eye first!
Paul here quoting psalms and making the argument that born again hang their hat on that Jesus saved us from sin in the flesh by destroying the devil who is the fear of death. But the devil still holds sway on planet earth and born again are like the pharasee holding fast to false arguements that there salvation is assured no matter how hypocritical they show themsevles to be. God has no respect!
Rom. 9:10 - "..... that if thy wilt confess ..... "; meaning of the word 'confess' in BIBLE dict. - "An open profession of faith." Jas. 2:14, 17, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26. The WHOLE Bible works together; not just certain verses taken out of context.
I agree with Hary Collins, Jesus Christ is our only hope of salvation. I pray that we repent seek him while he can still be found. The Day of the Lord is coming! Will God's people be ready?
