May we be faithful as we pray for our nation's leadership and their need for a relationship with our LORD JESUS CHRIST. 1 Timothy 2:9. Let us not faint or be weak; but may we go forward and reach the lost. May we be not weary of well doing, but be strong through HIS word and promises.

We must be about the work of the LORD, making disciples as we called to do in Matthew 28: 18-20.

As GOD is not willing that anyone should perish, 1 Peter 3:9, we must be encouraged and plant the seed, water where we can so that the LORD GOD will give the increase. 1 Corinthians 3:6

The time is at hand where all saints are called to duty and reach out, pray up, and tell to all the salvation available in the gospel of the LORD JESUS CHRIST. Romans 10: 9-12; Acts 4:10-12.

GOD bless all on this platform and praise the LORD on this Resurrection Sunday, 2023. GOD to shine HIS face on all, and be gracious as we await HIS coming.

Hi R[ck Babylon the great which kingdom started under NIMROD who was a ruler absolutely defiant to anything dealing

with the true God it was under His rulership that all religions of the world including catholism had their roots. The reason I

said religions of the world is because Christianity is of or from Heaven. The great whore Babylon represents the adversaries

rulership on earth and how it uses and waste Gods creation which is why it will be eniliated and taken to the pit.

Jesus said the meek shall inherit the earth .

The wicked shall be gathered up and burned . So being left behind is a really good thing .

As I read God's word, and He points out Babylon the great, and how sudden destruction will come upon her.

"Babylon the great has fallen has fallen.." Rev. 18:2. In fact, the whole of chapter 18 appears to describe the United States!

I pray people will wake up, and take His word as it is written. As I talk with many "born again" Christian's, I find that many are thinking they do not have to worry about what's coming upon the earth, because God is going to "rapture" them out of harms way. That is NOT what God's word says! 2 Timothy says, " Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution".

What makes us so special that God is going to snatch us up and away from trouble? Did he not protect Daniel while in the lions den. His word shows us that He'll protect us as we go through tribulations. He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Many Christians are saying that God is "doing a new thing. Really .? God's word doesn't change to fit one's own narrative. Look what's happening in our country. The Biden democrat/Marxist party is destroying everything good about our nation, and filling influential positions with godless people who hate our country, while at the same time claiming to be good Christians. I correct myself such that Biden and Pelosi claim to be good Catholics, which opens up another ungodly can of worms. I pray God gives us eyes to see and ears to hear during these corrupt and evil times. Thanks you for reading this post.

Isaiah 13 showcases the day of the Lord attack as the letter lets it happen to us; flames on faces, oblivious to where it comes from. If you think today is bad, wait till you see what's coming.

    Dear Lou,

Scripture gives us much information about what will occur during the end times. Look up what Jesus says about it in Matt. 24; Mk. 13. Lk. 19. There are a large numbers of prophetic verses about the end times in the OT and NT, especially in Revelation.

For me, I study the Scriptures to learn what is said there about the end times. I heed the words of Jesus for us to be know the signs of the time, be watchful, ready, waiting, looking for Him, prayerful, and to have faith that endures to the end. I stay abreast of what happens in our world to see if there are things happening that may be fulfilling what Jesus said or other prophecies. But even more so, I chose to live godly life in this wicked age and to set Christ aside in my heart so as to be ready to give an answer to any who inquire about the hope I have within me, which is Jesus Christ, our hope of glory.

We still need to continue to work and provide for ourselves and our families even if it should prove that we are in the end times. We are to continue to do (while it is still day) the work God has tasked us to do for the kingdom until He returns. We are to continue in doing good to others, worshipping with other believers, engage in our sphere of influence, care for those in need in our communities according to our abilities, and everything we would normally do if it didn't seem like the end times.

Right now, our world is in a precarious position as it has been in the past century with two world wars and other regional conflicts. We have had prosperity in past decades but now with covid effects and inflation rising, our economic situation is unsettling. With weather events such as recent tornadoes and hurricanes along with other catastrophes like earthquakes, drought, famine it seems that our world is in a spiral. But that does not mean equivocally that we are in the end times, as history shows that humanity has gone through great tribulations before. But it doesn't mean we are NOT in the end time
  • The Time of the End Unfolding Now-Mishael - In Reply on Isaiah 13 - 2 years ago
It's not going to return to normal. Right now we need to gather knowledge of what's coming so we can be wise and be ready for anything.

Those who will be most prepared, will make Jesus their leader and Lord now. Information in the Bible has been available for 2,000 years.

Father God has had an end of time program in place for all these years. 2 Peter 3. That explains what people call "global warming."

Political people are attempting to stop Gods plans for the end of time. Time (ticking of the clock) began over 6,000 years ago. There are "thought leaders: Bill Gates, Zuckerberg, Obama, are trying to convince people that human beings can STOP God's known Will for the future of Earth. We will have a future, but we must choose Jesus NOW. He wants to save us and give us a home in the future.

Thought leaders cannot stop God. Their plans for all mankind leads to slavery to their ideas on how to save the earth; which will not prevail.

God created all we see and know. He loves us!! He gave Jesus to rescue only those who place their future in his hands. EVERYBODY is invited to place their futures into The Father and the Son's hands. Faith is not really blind. God gifted us the ability to choose our futures: what we would have or have not. Choose evil or good (God).

God knew mankind would choose leaders that would take us straight to hell: depending on them instead of God. TIME is ticking down to the end. Now we see the prophesies of the END appearing. Thought leaders cannot kill God, so they will kill His creation and the people who live in it. Technology who will create a WORLDWIDE Bank will be the way they do it. They will force us to renounce God to get at our money.

The only way to survive this is to put your faith, solidly, in Jesus now. Find the BECOME A BELIEVER link and secure your future. Return here for encouragement. Beloved, read the Bible and grow your Faith, every day.

In this passage; it would seem that the "sanctified ones" who "rejoice in my highness" would be none other than God's Resurrected Saints arriving toward the end of the Tribulation; to follow in the destruction of Babylon following Christ's triumphant return where He alone will "trod out the grapes" as shown in Isaiah 63:3; and also indicated in Revelation 14:9. There are; no doubt preparatory stages for this; for even in the sixth seal judgment of Revelation 6:12 we see the knowledge of the peoples of the earth of the judgments of both the Father and the Son; and events similar to verse 10 of this chapter. Other verses such as verse 13 could be both seal judgment earthquakes and the later one which comes at Babylon the Great's destruction or indeed at Armageddon. It would seem that there is a destruction of a literal city first; then the whole world system later. Armageddon; the gathering together of all nations also will be associated with people from one end of the earth to another being killed at around the same time as well. Whether the USA is indicated; or what seems to be a new planned mega-city in the Arabian vicinity (30 times the size of New York City run by drones is the claim); we see a push in that region of the world for an ecumenical unification of the 3 monotheistic faiths in the cards being planned by the Pope and others in short order. Still other verses would seem to indicate that Israel's still greater prosperity in gold and silver; and worldwide trade is yet to come-this is probably bolstered further by the tremendous natural gas resources as yet untapped due to conflicting claims of ownership by surrounding nations. The recent Gulf States plans for economic cooperation with Israel and the Saudi's not far behind is another indication of the likelihood that the geographic region of ancient Babylon may once again become a reality as to being a major area of trade. In any event verse 11 and 12 show the worldwide end of the age judgment

Amen David. Yah will not force himself upon anyone. It is our duty to seek his face lest we perish. And it is his desire that all be saved. Thank you David for the word, may you be encouraged thereby.
  • David on Isaiah 13:10 - 2 years ago
God's love is never forced upon any one. He will let people reject His call and allow people to make their own decision. He is not willing that anyone should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

It is your choice and no one will force you, least of all the Lord Jesus Christ. Our prayer is as the Lord's desire is - that all will be saved.
  • Mishael - In Reply on Isaiah 13:10 - 3 years ago
You should just ask us to pray that you'll be enabled to believe, that if you opened the doors of your heart, you would be able to receive what Jesus did for you. That's the first hurdle. It gets lots better after that. Jesus is knocking...

    Matthew 18:19-20

That if two of you shall AGREE on earth as touching any thing (or person) that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, THERE AM I, in the midst of them.

    John 1:12

Yet to all who receive him, to those who BELiEVED in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.

    1 Timothy 2:8

I will, therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

    Matthew 7:7

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be OPENED to you.

No one helped me to be saved. No one invited me to go to their Church with them. They just regarded me as "too far gone" in sinful ways, to be reached.

Only my Grandmother sent me love letters about Jesus. Which I scorned at first and put in a drawer. After her death, I read them. That kind of love destroys the walls of hardness.

Despite how everyone treated me, I answered that knock on the day of my salvation. I gave Him all of my pain, and He gave me joy and peace.

    Don't give up.
  • Christian Peters on Isaiah 13:10 - 3 years ago
John the Baptist was a martyr but he stirred up Herod's hate, and Salome got her wish to have him served up on a plate,

    I said yeah.

Could you stand the torture? And could you stand the pain? Could you put your faith in Jesus when you're burning in the flames? I said yeah.

You'll never make a saint of me, oh yeah.

Isaiah 13 is the abomination of desolation description of America getting its Rev 18:6 to the double. Same with Isaiah 47 and many other verses concerning the day of the Lord strike. Ezekiel 21:9-12 God furbishes a sword and puts it in the hand of the slayer. You see vs 12 God says he is against his own people, the house of Israel and the house of Judah. The beast Russian confederacy, who God has commissioned to do his will, will make the whole house of Israel desolate. Mystery Babylon America gets baptized by fire; ironic how Israel's 6M Ashkenazim (Japheth) false Jews ( Gen 10:2-3) are invaded and taken into a 3rd captivity. The rest of the Babylonian system goes dark and falls that day. Luke 21:20-24 gives us another glimpse of Israel being taken away in chains. Do you know why America isn't there to save Israel from invasion? America received the abomination of desolation.

Modern day Iraq is not populated everywhere in fact many parts are entirely desert. Ancient Babylon sits about 50 miles south of Bagdad and it's desolate. Many years ago Saddam Hossain claimed to have Babylonian ancestry and tried to rebuild and then desert Storm happened. You can read about it online. There have been several attempts to rebuild but never again has it been inhabited... so the prophecy was in fact fulfilled. To this day it lays waste and nothing but animals dwell there.

Thanks Mild Bill, its very very similar but the story I am talking about was 2 armies coming from different directions and merging to form one army, which was to attack the main character's people. But God stirred their hearts against each other during the night. The merging armies fought and killed each other. They attacked and killed each other. Perhaps this is the story. Maybe I read a narrative with embellishments instead.

The story line is almost identical but I remember it differently and I was reading from KJV

    Perhaps I am mistaken

Scott, may the Spirit grace you with understanding:

1 Corinthians 15:16 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural (can be seen); and afterwards that which is spiritual (can't be seen).

The history in the old testament was lived in the natural, but is also symbolic of what will be lived out in the spiritual. Adam (natural) was also symbolic of Christ (now in the Spirit which is the Holy Ghost) Adam was put into a deep sleep (natural, but symbolic of Christ death) Eve (natural, but symbolic of the church, Christ bride).

Abraham (natural, but symbolic of our spiritual Father) offered Isaac (natural, but symbolic of Christ our spiritual brother) as a sacrifice.

The old testament is our examples and symbols (shadows) of future events.

Babylon (natural and still existing today is also symbolic of the condition of mankind). It's this sinful condition that will no longer exist when the spiritual work of the Holy Ghost is complete.

1 Corinthians 15:24 Then cometh the end, when he (Christ the Holy Ghost) shall have delivered up the kingdom of God, even the Father; when he (holy Ghost) shall put down ALL rule and ALL authority and power,

    (25) For he (Holy Ghost) must reign, till he (Holy Ghost) hath put ALL enemies under his (Holy Ghost) feet.

    (26) The last enemy that will be destroyed will be death (because ALL will have put on spiritual bodies which death can't hurt)

    (27) For he (God the Father) has put ALL things under his (Christ the Holy Ghost) feet. But when he (God the Father) saith ALL things are put under him (Christ the Holy Ghost), it is manifest that he (God the Father) is excepted (the exception), which (God the Father) did put ALL things under him (Christ the Holy Ghost).

    (28) And when ALL things shall be subdued unto him (Christ the Holy Ghost), then shall THE SON ALSO HIMSELF be subject to him (GOD THE FATHER) that put all things under him (the Son), and GOD WILL BE ALL IN ALL.

I found tithes and offering are always confused in manner in which God intended. You can review several chapters in the book starting with Exodus 30: 13 through 16. God indicates to give half of shekel of sanctuary 20 gerah =1 shekel. You also can read Leviticus chapter 27 it tells you how much each of us are supposed to submit for tithes and offering in a single vow.

In numbers chapter 18 verse 19-32, it talks about tithing and what supposed to be given as well. The Levites we're giving a tenth part of the inheritance from the children of Israel. The inheritance was the land. The Bible is specific when it indicates did the Levites are not to receive any more inheritance. They are given the tithes of the sanctuary and the heave offering. If it is to be given in monetary value you would need to refer to that chapter to understand it's estimation value. Hope this helps. Most Ministries skip around the book. Leaving their congregation confused.
  • Jesse - In Reply on Isaiah 13:10 - 4 years ago
    Greg,

No problem with the miscommunication. As I stated, when I first read where you said Kalos = child, I knew you had to accidentally put that there. I'm sure you already knew Kalos was not the word for child, even though a child can be Kalos (Good), sometimes!

I agree with the King James that Judas "repented himself" but it was not the same repentance required for salvation. The word repent as was used for Judas was not the same word for repent in places where the bible says "Repent and be baptized." This word repent (Metanoeo) is true repentance and is the word that's used every time it is associated with salvation. So Judas repenting himself meant that he was only sorry for his actions.

We don't get that from our English bibles. I think that's where we run into problems sometimes with our English texts. We see a word in English and we automatically attach our English understanding to not knowing the Greek uses a word that means something different than what we understand in English.

I agree fully with the persecution issue. Jesus said we can expect that. But just like Paul, we should count it all joy when we are being persecuted. That's sounds odd, but the way I see it, they are not persecuting me, they are persecuting Christ who lives in me. That's how I know I can count it as joy. And that's why Jesus said, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?" Saul was persecuting Christians but Jesus said why are you persecuting me?

And I understand the being zealous part. It never worked too well for me either. I've come to a point in my walk with the Lord where I just sit back and go along for the ride and whatever path He puts me on. I love sailboats (Pictures, models, you name it). They remind me of a time when I was "on fire" as they say, and my motor was running non-stop. But I've since turned off the motor, hoisted up the sail, and let the wind (God's Spirit) take me wherever He might take me.

    Anyways,

I've also enjoyed talking with you. God Bless!!!
  • DOUBLE MINDEDNESS - In Reply on Isaiah 13:10 - 4 years ago
Minded: means that is what you have purposed in your mind. Double minded means you have a conflict in your mind.

    Examples>

    James 1:8

A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

    James 4:8

Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

    Romans 8:6

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

    Philippians 3:15

Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

    2 Corinthians 1:15

    And in this confidence I was minded to come unto you before, that ye might have a second benefit;

    Titus 2:6

Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.

    Matthew 1:19

Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.

    Galatians 5:10

I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.

    2 Corinthians 1:17

When I therefore was thus minded, did I use lightness? or the things that I purpose, do I purpose accordingly.

It's about getting the mind of Christ before we do or say anything.

Be aware of who is speaking in your mind: the Holy Spirit? You? The flesh? Satan?

    The spirit of this world?

    Mishael
