This chapter is about the end time. The day of the one fold and one shepherd. Isaiah is telling us about universal pease. The temple is established on the highest mountain. This concerns the second coming of Christ and the unification of the world. This will be the fulfilment of the prophesy by Christ; let thy will done on earth as it is in heaven...
His word is so holy, so righteous, justice and truth...His word calls us all to his truth. His righteousness is so incomprehensible, brighter than the sun..isaiah speaks to the church today to come out of self centered religion, too throw done idols and rend our hearts not our garments....
I don't see the concept of man helping man as being of no value in this chapter. God uses people to help others. A charitable heart pleases God. This chapter tells us what God is going to do with the idols that men have erected and keep for themselves. And what is going to happen to idolaters.
This verse is trying to tell us as Christians no man has value in helping us because he she will one day die, only God can help us because He will do It forever.
Like one if gods commandment said woship the lord your god only bow down to no idol thats as plain as it gets. The world would always hve its disobedient people who choose to do their will against god will you cann lead a horse to water but u cannot make him drink
We are strong in the Lord we are built up over unshakeable rock Jesus Christ Himself, who is the fulfillment of this prophecy. Jesus is the Temple of the Lord and his church as well. GBU
why would you not forgive someone that bows down and humbles himself... and if one says that it means bowing down to the idol... then how can one humble himself to the idol... that 's not being humble if your bowing down to an idol... being humble is always a good thing there is no bad type of being humble...???
The Lord uses repetition to reiterate the significance of the Lord our God being lifted up all things in contrast made low. God is worthy to be praised, but compared. He is God and God alone.
...well Jim that would be where you are wrong I was the ... ' 'awakened sinner, ready to leave all that his soul may be saved .. ' 'as Mathew Henry puts it only Jesus was able to get me out of the hole I was in. It would be terrifying to stand in the presence of God 's truth righteousness without the Lord Jesus ... yes he is Lord God incarnate
Mountains signified a place of worship and idols were worshiped at the mountains,in the last days true worship will be found in the house of the Lord. The body of christ will be elevated and established, there shall be revival in the house of the Almighty God and many will flock to the church to worship the true God Isaiah 2vs2 3
This scripture speaks of a time when God will establish peace earth wide. Under his kingdom, a heavenly government, people will not learn war anymore or fight each other.
The Fear of God is the beginning of Wisdom. let us all go to the House of the Lord and give Praise for the things he has done for us. salvation is of the Lord. No one except Jesus Christ can save. This warning is stern and stand sure. O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.
It just amazes me that people can read these words written a century and more after his death and believe not only in the divinity of Jesus but in some mystical sage of the heavens. Ahh, the last vestige of our prehistoric ignorance.
God has given us a choice to surrender and put our desire's in his hands. He has shown me; the truth, that has set me free from the things I thought I had control of. Thank be to God and Jesus Christ our lord and savior.
The first five verses of the second chapter of Isaiah are a beautiful beginning of the Pope Francesco's pontificate. The clue and answer to the global problems as well as God's words for every man, not only Catholic or Christian.
In Isaiah 2:5 it says come lets walk in the light, we can\'t stay in sin and walk in the light. He\'s asking us to get away from sin and walk with Him because He is the light, so if we are in sin we wouldn’t see the light, but if we come out from under sin then we are free to walk with the light. Thank you Jesus for being that light in my life.
Ad Christians we always want people to obey us n keep our wishes or commandment but thee that created heaven n earth is more than that of we Nomal human we do have to keep his commandments cos he created Heaven n earth n all things in it so we need to obey n keep his commandment
The Word of the Lord is glorious and full of Majesty and Honor. I am delighted and comforted that I am in His Kingdom as a Christain serving the Lord of Hosts daily. The book of Isaia, tells it to the whole earth and speaks to his people Israel about Himself and what He expects from the people of the Earth and Israel.
In a very colorful way, Isaiah depicts the humiliation of those who prefer high-sounding philosophy to the knowledge of God. One acknowledging God as His own humble servant admires and magnifies Him in seeking to show forth His virtues, as we're exhorted by the Letter (epistle) of Saint Peter Chapter One.
This esaic prophecy can help a person who loves his or her own life too much to forsake pride, to colorfully imagine what it might be like to have to relinquish such pride involuntarily in being humbled.
The conclusion to and summation of this chapter also liberate us from oppression of man (to feeling oppressed in servitude to our fellow-man's opinion).
This was a small but very powerful chapter. It lets us know that the Lord doesn't mine christians having nice things. God just doesn't want us to place more value in and on these things rather then we place on our time with him.
