i think this verse shows who we realy are as children of God,that patience is truly virtue.nometter how hard it gets on the way of our faith but we should always for our father. for good things happen to those who wait.
It is encouraging to those of us who every now and then feel as if we're tired. When we look at the But... we know God is getting ready to turn some things around. It's lets me know all that has been assigned to my hand to do, I can keep running, walking along as I don't quit I will make it.
@jeff:
The early church backed up what was popular and would give the most power a lot of the times. Why do you think that Martin Luther was so outraged that he nailed a letter to the door of the church. Many people understood the false and innapropriate things the church began doing. The "churches" were not following as christ commanded but as sinners wanting personal gain of Christ. That is were puritans came about, looking to KNOW God, not to know of God.
According to ChristianAnswers.net circle can be understood either as a circle or a sphere. It is modern skeptics who have misunderstood this and twisted to suit their own biases.
Your right Mary waiting on him and serving him he will bring us out of all our troubles, we just have to wait and not faint in the process of waiting on the Lord. The process of waiting sometimes is long but he is faithful isn't he we must believe this and know that he will see us threw all our troubles. Thank you
Isa 40-28-31, the Lord is the redeemer of our soul and he will give us strength in the time of trouble he knows what we go through and it is he that give us strength to overcome the deeds of this body and then we shall live as it says in the book of Revelations.
Isaiah 40 verses 28-31 Lets me know when I'm under stress or things are not going so good, Just wait on the Lord and he will bring you out of whatever you're going through
Isaiah 40 gives me a concrete foundation for my faith. When I'm down I read it and it' like a breath of fresh air! God is ALMIGHTY & POWERFUL, definitely the head of my life!
Isaiah 40:28-31,there are people who are ignorant,there are some who are sturbborn,there are some who will suffer alone with their problems and many who are looking for strength some where else other than the true source of all knowledge and wisdom. if you have never heard or known, God does not faint or get weary when situations are tough or when circumstances change. God has never stopped pleading for our cases even a second in the heavenly temple and has not forggotten us,if we come to him and confess our sins but not only that he promises all of us young and old if we truly humble ourselves and be gentle in spirit to recognise that we are weak but he is strong,he will surely come to our rescue to strenghten us. It should be every man's desire to wait on the lord with a quet spirit with hope that he will strengthen us with super natural power to enable us to run, and not be weary; [and] to walk, and not faint.

One of my favorites.
The Romans knew too the earth was round, a round plate. No further comment needed.
