Great reading and interpreation of the scriptures. I pray that you continue in His work and in seeking the Truth
  • Js - In Reply on Isaiah 5 - 4 years ago
Well, the sinners really should come running in the church saying what must i do to be saved...!!! Thats the underlying goal for them and we Christians must be in position and find ourselves in God in order for that to take place. Cuz the sinners measure the power of God by our lives!
  • Fred scanlan on Isaiah 5 - 5 years ago
Indeed, the church has failed to preach the truth. The tower has been disassembled in the vineyard! We are not justified by our works, but by faith are we saved. This is why our God created the second Adam . The Christ. Their is salvation in no other! Mans righteousness is as filthy rags. Who are we that our God is mindful of us. Who are we too tell our creator what is needful?Their is none right.
  • Maria Morales on Isaiah 5 - 5 years ago
Because the Israelites or his vineyard in this parable disobeyed Him, he allowed the other nations to conquer or devour them. He took away the hedge or his protection. Nevertheless, he will still be merciful to them Is.14.
  • Theodore Douglas Barnett Jr. on Isaiah 5 - 6 years ago
All nations that make the choice to turn from God, Will be turned into hell. That is not a threat, that is a promise. We in the USA live under this derision that God loves us as a nation so much and that because we have "In God We Trust " printed on our money, God will excuse sin. This is the hour of repentance. Hebrews says judgment must come to the church house first before the world.
  • A disciple on Isaiah 5 - 6 years ago
"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" The cross of Christ is not our enemy. The opposition and contradiction of sinners against Him and His Word is a token of our salvation, and of God's approval and happiness with us. The things highly thought of by the world are abomination to God.
  • Bryant Coots on Isaiah 5 - 6 years ago
America today is in the same position as Judah when this passage was written. As they were God's chosen representatives for that day, America has had a special calling to be ambassadors of the Christian faith to the world. For decades now we have seen unfaithfulness to that calling. Society is becoming more and more corrupt, at every level. Sadly, we can expect the same judgment.
  • Laine on Isaiah 5 - 7 years ago
It has been well over 2,000 years, when certain prophesies, were predicted and have now come to pass. Yahweh, is a loving GOD, who has given us a Savior. Lord JESUS, who is the only alternative. If you know anyone, who has not repented and confess JESUS, as Lord and Savior, and the son of the living GOD. Tell them to run for their life, even though there is know where to hide!
  • Dianna Kuykendall on Isaiah 5 - 8 years ago
What has God done to us that we should turn away from him? Should we expect less for our unfaithfulness to him? He loves us so much he sent his only begotten son to die in our place for our sins. Be faithful to him and turn not away. Our time draws nearer every moment.
  • Stephen F. Zielski on Isaiah 5 - 8 years ago

  • Faithful on Isaiah 5 - 8 years ago
I think Isaiah is a truly a likeness of what is happening in the world today .verse 20.
  • James Ndungu on Isaiah 5:4 - 9 years ago
God chose Israel to be His ambassador, but they didn 't recognize themselves as chosen generation, to represent God, but they did not,to seek and save, there for the Israelites received the course instead of blessing, the Israelites of today are repeating instead of taking advantage of reading the history, searching the scripture for the truth. May IAM intervene and make us to do what Elijah, John the Baptist did reprove the Church and state. Amen.
  • Cbaux on Isaiah 5 - 9 years ago
The Lord woke me with this chapter on my mind. He said it was for America. This is in line with what the Lord had me write 15 or more ago with "Letters to the churches. " Which ended with the Lords quote about those letter. "Can the wind blow and the leaf quiver and it is not I says the Lord! " Soon you see these things come to pass.
  • E. H. on Isaiah 5 - 9 years ago
All have sin and come short of Gods glory. We are deaf and blind. We, some refuse to repent a sinner is a sinner no matter what sin we commit. And you were already a sinner because we were born thanks to the original father and mother human.
  • Harycollins on Isaiah 5 - 9 years ago
God was so disappointed in the children of Israel by the way they chose to live in sin and disobedience to his words and commands. He has been so gracious and good to us all his children, let us endeavor to obey him absolutely to avoid his anger upon us.
  • Jim on Isaiah 5 - 10 years ago
The bible has no grey areas. Sin is Sin. Only grace through Christ can erase sin. Let each man work out his own salvation with fear and trembling. I will stand for no mans sins and no man shall stand for mine.
  • Dan on Isaiah 5:20 - 10 years ago
I 'm no bible thumper, but just saying this applies only to homosexuality is a blind farcical comment. Go look at the political world today. How about the corporate one? Don 't be so blind as to say it doesn 't apply today.
  • Honie on Isaiah 5:20 - 10 years ago
Yet these men speak abusively against whatever they do not understand and what things they do understand by instinct envy self ambition ,like unreasoning animals these are the very things that destroy them. Jude 10.
  • Mpofu bhekitemba on Isaiah 5:10 - 11 years ago
God has power to use material things to accomplish his purpose. He could've sent Angels to rebuke the madness of israel's sinful nature. Thru the sanction of hunger though after man had made his efforts to prevail God would hinder them from success. same applies to us. we can be hindered due to our wickedness! God's real.lol
  • Rosalinasaysonkotapay on Isaiah 5 - 11 years ago
There is a possibility that the GLOBAL WARMING might be the RESULT of the FIRE unto the lowest hell being ENLARGED or INCREASED by itself and shall CONSUME the earth ( Deuteronomy 32:22) against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men (2-Peter 3:7)
  • Keyna Welenc on Isaiah 5:14 - 11 years ago
I believe hell is located "under the earth" according to Philippians 2:10 "in heaven and on earth and 'under the earth' "
Hell enlarged herself after Jesus preached to the Old Testament saints ( 1Peter 3:18-20) in Abraham's bosom and released them from prison. Before this, a great chasm ( Luke 16:19-31) separated Hell (those in torment) from Abraham's bosom. The rich man (in hell) asked that Lazarus (in Abraham's bosom) be sent to dip the end of his finger in water and cool his tongue. Verse 26- the great chasm was fixed... no one could cross/pass over. Jesus released those in prison and Abraham's bosom was emptied, then hell enlarged herself (was expanded).
I believe this is where Catholics get the idea of purgatory (even though this place is not mentioned in the bible). Purgatory was emptied after Jesus descended into hell and released the prisoners from Abraham's bosom.
Is the idea of hell enlarging itself (and being enlarged ever since) the cause of so-called global warming???
  • Balpu Guri Sangma on Isaiah 5 - 11 years ago
Wrath of God for man's transgression and trespasses
  • Michael Briley on Isaiah 5:19 - 11 years ago
Trying to break this down, kinda confused
  • George Ebejer on Isaiah 5:20 - 11 years ago
Yes, we are truly living in the times this verse speaks of. I live in Malta, and homo***uality, adultery, how men and women dress,(sometimes one wonders if they are dressed) are all accepted even by the authorities. If we talk against those things and about what God's Word says, they call us bigots.
But we all have to face God's judgment one day.
    In Him,
    George Ebejer
  • Martin B on Isaiah 5:22 - 11 years ago
Men are deluded into imagining themselves to be heroes by drinking, while in reality they are gaining in weakness, wasting time and money that could be spent in becoming the men God designed them to be. Then and today, excessive drinking gradually brings a superficial egoism in place of the real heroism of going through the challenges of life to reap its real rewards.
  • Adesina on Isaiah 5:8 - 11 years ago
This verse have to teach the true believer in Christ not to amount much wealth in other not to involve in building too many houses and acquiring land everywhere so that these curses would not be on them.
  • Sam on Isaiah 5:20 - 11 years ago
are we not living in the times this verse speaks of! sure seems it to me with homosexual marriage, with the rise of Islam, and the hostility to Christianity
  • Regina on Isaiah 5:14 - 11 years ago
I was reading in the book of Revelation about Satan being given the keys to the bottomless pit, and I thought about this verse and I believe there is definitely a connection between hell enlarging herself and Satan having the keys to the bottomless pit.
  • Scott Kevin Borchardt on Isaiah 5 - 12 years ago
Verse 20. Unsaved men being used by the devil and tools like television and other media are rapidly calling the evil sins of lesbian and gay people good. Woe unto them. Check your Bible and see what sin it is before, God judges and brings judgement. It is the sin of Sodomy. It is EVIL!!!!!!!
