God loves us so much and because of his love He sent his only begotten Son Jesus Christ to save us and give us life. We are already forgiven and pardoned, we are now live because of his forgiveness. Jesus himself is the word of God, we must accept and obey his words until rapture. He is the only Jehovah, Our Provider, Our Peace and Righteousness there is no other above name its only Jesus. We must walk with Faith and not by sight, Lets be Still and know that He is God. Thanks be to Jesus for his precious blood that shed for us, from his blood we are washed by our unrighteousness and we are cleansed by our sins. Blessed are those who follow and live like Jesus for we are saved until rapture. Thank you Jesus and Amen
  • Pastor David on Isaiah 57:14 - 9 years ago
It would seem to me as a people or more particularly a person who has, as the previous verses imply , hopped in bed with the world and departed from God, but when he realizes the error of his ways, he is left for a while to see if his companies the things or people he was entangled with will deliver him. But they will not, for the wind shall carry them away and vanity shall take them because they are useless. Such is vanity. But when he puts his trust in the Lord he shall inherit Gods holy mountain, which is a place of prayer, in much of the old bible it 's the only place to pray except for prophets and such. When he is able to pray, his prayer would be much like verse 14, to cast up or move away from him all these things that have hindered and led astray for him and so many others. Get it out of my way, I 'm done with it, don 't want any more part of it, Be gone! Much like Jesus says in the new testament "Get behind me Satan! " And having done this it goes on to the next verse where God dwells with and even revives the heart and spirit of the humble and contrite. Praise God for His loving kindness and tender mercies.

They snarl at God 's people, and mock them using wide mouth with extended tongue. They shall finally receive their fair recompense.
  • David on Isaiah 57:20 - 9 years ago
Isa 57 20 and Rev 21 1 paints a picture of the Kingdom ruled by the One Who will give peace to the world, without troublesome sinners around.
  • Enis kirieri on Isaiah 57:5 - 9 years ago
Isaiah 57 5 is god 's gracious, definitive, passionate and extra time offer of repentance to the sly sinners , 'draw near ' vs 3,though he sees all sorceries and spiritual adultery of his people, god can 't be mocked, the sinners works are bare in his sight as when occult practices of easterners was shown to ezekiel the prohet.see ezekiel 8. jos city ,nigeria

I think that when a person is wicked, he or she is trouble to others, and foremost to themselves. We are digging a grave for ourselves by choosing to be wicked
  • Andrew on Isaiah 57:21 - 10 years ago
Second time I read this verse from Isaiah. A re-confirmation to the fate of wicked, the vile person, the "liberals", as they call them these days.
  • Andrew on Isaiah 57:8 - 10 years ago
This is very literal, putting figurines and idols where it is said here. I know it, we have literal idol worships all around the place here.
  • Ekanem,uboho richard on Isaiah 57:21 - 11 years ago
The wicked has no rest said my God. People of God just call your God for those that challenge you, there shall be no peace

  • Iqisue on Isaiah 57:1 - 11 years ago
When my 2 year and ½ daughter passed away, I was given this scripture. To me it means the righteous are taken away to keep them from the evil one, I believe The Lord took her because she saw her future. The Lord knows there is so much evil in this world that he didn't want my daughter to suffer, so he took her home because he loves her so much. I have this blessed hope that I will see her again. Her twin sister is now 22, and struggle now and then, but she is a strong woman.
  • Christopher on Isaiah 57:20 - 11 years ago
To me I will say that when someone has made up his or her mind to always be doing evil that person will never be at rest.
  • André on Isaiah 57 - 12 years ago
    @Yolanda,
In this chapter, God is telling the sinful practices of Israel, the consequences of their deeds, and the consequences of all sinful practices and the benefits of doing good.
Though Israel went that far, God still promises to rescue him and deliver him, so is He going to deliver us also in this life.
    God bless you.
