Each day we walk through the Bible. Isaiah, the great old testament evangelist I ever saw talks about the final judgement in his last chapter. Let us learn from our text today that we (human beings) have a choice of free will to choose or reject JESUS CHRIST. In doing so we will suffer the consequences both now and for eternity. Let us not choose our own ways which will definitely end up in hell. "...they have chosen their own ways, ..." God has chosen the delusions for CHRIST rejectors. All believers shall worship their LORD every week in the New Jerusalem (which will descend out of Heaven to New Earth. Rev 21:10). While on the other end, Christ rejectors shall take their part in Hellfire. Their worm shall not die, and their fire shall not be quenched. Choose JESUS CHRIST before it's too late.
For while we were still weak and sinners, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. Rom 5:6 ,8. JESUS CHRIST manifested in the fless, bore all our sins, died on the cross, buried and rose again from the dead, ascended to heaven, seen by angels, appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve, proclaimed among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory. ( 1Ti 3:16) Believe Him and be saved, All the Earth.
Thank you for responding and for blessing me with the word. Like I was saying my brother in-law believes that a Christian must keep the Sabbath to be saved ,but to fill you in on some other things concerning my brother in-law. I'm guessing that he thinks he is Jewish and he doesn't believe in the Holy Spirit and he also believes that Jesus was a prophet or teacher and that we will have our own planet to rule. I believe totally different. I believe that Jesus is my Savior and I believe in the trinity ( the Father , the Son & the Holy Spirit.
The Sabbath is and has always been the seventh day of the week, Constantine made a Sunday law in 321 A.D. The Roman Catholic Church at the Council of Laodicea - 364 A.D, this council was held to stop the Sabbath-keeping tendencies in the Eastern Roman Empire. The Council of Laodicea (Nicolaitans), produced sixty rulings, or canons, covering a broad range of topics. Doctrines other than Sunday were written by them and the penalties for not obeying them that has continued until today.
The New Testament tells us that trying to seek justification before God by keeping any part of the law automatically makes us responsible to keep the entire law. You will either stand before God and be judged by the law, or you will be established in the righteousness that comes by faith in Jesus Christ. Consider the following verses.
Read these and show your brother-in-law, ( Romans 3:20-24) ( Romans 14:2-6,13) ( Galatians 3:11-13) ( Colossians 2:11-16) There are more scripture you can find.
Regardless of what you may believe, man does not have the authority to change any law that God made and Jesus Christ fulfilled, especially how they changed it and the reason it was changed, but you cannot call Sunday the Sabbath. We are not to judge anyone for going to a church on Sunday or any day of the week. We are to worship in spirit regardless of where or what day, hopefully, every day. "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law".
No man can judge that you will go to hell, only God can make that final judgement call.
It is true, God gave man the Sabbath Day as a gift to rest our bodies and minds, and set aside and spend special time giving thanks to our creator. It has been well known and celebrated throughout history that the Sabbath Day referred to by God has been observed on Saturday the last day of the week. No man can change what God gave as a 4th commandment.
Jesus said below:
John 14:15
"If ye love me, keep my commandments."
So yes, God encourages his children to keep his 10 commandments.
colossians 2:8-17. beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after christ.
for in him dwelleth all the fulness of the godhead bodily.
and ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
in whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of christ:
buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of god, who hath raised him from the dead.
and you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
( blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; )
and having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
( let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the [ sabbath days:] )
which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of christ.
Your brother-in-law is a fear monger. The statutes have changed. In 312 AD Constantine changed the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday. Keep the Sabbath in your heart.
Ask him when the Jewish Sabbath starts/ends, and if he says anything other than "Friday at sundown through Saturday at sundown", put him in his place. Let me know how it works out.
I have been told over and over by a brother in-law that if I don't observe the Sabbath every Saturday that I am going straight to hell. What is your belief or thought on this
I walk along and I hear his voice. He puts his arm around my back as we walk along! He is calming, the voice most would only dream to hear! He comforts me and assures me I am not alone! He says only a little while longer, and you will be with me in paradise!
I hear Him say go forward now and confess me to all I bring you too! Show them who I am ! Let them see the power of the holy spirit! Be not afraid, they have no power then that what I give them! Carry on my faithful servant, and know I am with you.
Isaiah 66:17 In the day of The Lord those believing they are upright by the law shall have their hypocrisy revealed.
For the Father hath put all things into the hands of His Son, Christ Jesus.
By fire and by the sword (the Spirit of God and the Word of God) The Lord will see to it that they which foolishly deny The Lord's power and omnipotence are consumed by the letter of the law.
Hi Steve, I believe that you described the narrow path to God's salvation perfectly. thank you
Matthew 7:14 "Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."
1 Corinthians Chapter 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal [must] put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O death, where [is] thy sting? O grave, where [is] thy victory? 56 The sting of death [is] sin; and the strength of sin [is] the law.
I truly believe that the cross of christ was not the end but the beginning we make the cross of
christ of none effect by laying aside what it was that was crucified , jesus over came in the garden when he said not my will but thy will be done . what went to the cross was for the purpose of fulfilling the prophesy what went to the cross was death itself... what we should be focused on is the resurrection three days was jonah in the belly of the whale three days was christ in the grave... when lazarus was asleep his sister mentioned to jesus that she knew that he would resurrect in the final resurrection what did jesus say he said i am the resurection.
be ye doers of the word and not hearers only decieving you own selves.
we all have our own cross to bare take up your cross and follow him.... your cross is dying out to self.... through the spirit, your cross is doing the will of god.
Do not be confused and led astray. Swine is unclean and the most High have never said it is okay to eat it. This is a future prophecy. The most High does not change. He is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. Do not be led astray by these men who do not know the bible.
2 Peter 3:16
as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are UNLEARNED and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own DESTRUCTION.
I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
Romans 14:15
But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.
John 6:27
Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.
Comment: basically nothing is forbidden if you PRAY over your food before eating it.
I pray this often if I get take out food:
"Lord thank you for your provision and the blessing of food. I ask You to bless and sanctify it and make it healthy for me to eat. I receive this meal in the Name of Jesus. Amen!"
I picked this variety of verses to show that meat eaters and vegetarians can all eat what they want. With joy and appetite.
Also, There is spiritual meat that the Christian can ask the Lord to give to him. It has to do with deeper truth. Trust the Holy Spirit (your teacher who oversees your growth) to give you the meat.
In this day and age, I always ask the Lord to bless and sanctify the food. We don't know where it comes from, do we?
Thank you for looking that up and telling me. For weeks he's refused to hear anything others were patiently trying to teach. Then that day it just hit me hard, all the accusations. Pages of railing on Paul. It was so obvious that he was wasting time and effort, others were trying to solve his problem.
I really try to avoid confrontation. I don't want to embarrass Jesus.
I looked up the name Yassir Davin and there is someone with that name on the tube and the channel shows that they are Muslim. So no doubt they believe the Bible is corrupted and that is why they think the Lord had to send Muhammed or Mohammed or however they spell it nowadays. Supposedly their last prophet was to fix the errors that sprang from the Bible. I am not sure it is the same person. But the line of thinking of Yassir would fit the comments if they were Muslim.
Yassir, you accuse Paul, accuse people in this room defending scripture about Paul the Apostle. In essence, you are accusing Jesus, my Lord and Savior!
Hello, why do you assume Paul is illiterate? The apparent contradiction of the word 'voice' of the these 2 verses of Acts doesn't mean automatically mean Paul is lying. The men heard a sound but didn't understand the words of the voice. 22:9 says "heard not the voice of him that spake to me" means the words were not understood. The original Greek word appears to be a flexible one that is sometimes translated to 'sound', like in John 3:8.
If I can jump in and maybe shed some light on this. In Galatians 1:12, Paul says:
"I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ."
When John wrote the Revelation, He received it from Christ Himself. But if there is a question as to whether Paul met the qualifications to be an Apostle proper, we are told Paul went to Jerusalem, met with the Apostles and they, themselves, approved him as an Apostle to the Gentiles. Peter also refers to what Paul writes as "Scripture" 2 Peter 3:16.
Acts 9:5-7, "Who are you, Lord?" Saul asked. "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting," he replied. "Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do." The men traveling with Saul stood there speechless; they heard the sound but did not see anyone."
This event is also recounted in Acts 22. So what are we to believe? Did Paul see Jesus? Well, He says he did. Others can attest to the fact that what Paul said on the Road to Damascus was True. Ananias was also a witness. And the Apostles confirmed it and appointed him Apostle to the Gentiles, as Christ told him. Furthermore, Pauls life, work, letters, sacrifice all testify to the fact that he did see Jesus and was taught by Him. In fact, the Bible says he was "told" by God and Jesus what to say.
If we doubt everything the Bible says, we have nowhere to go. If we doubt what Paul said, we have to doubt the entire New Testament.
And a side note: I don't understand what your 'Paul's theology' reference is. Paul (then Saul), was devout Pharisee, a Jew of the Jews, believing he obeyed every Law. He hated Jesus & His followers & put many to death. He received a revelation from Heaven that would shake his being to the core. ( Acts 9:3-7). What was that revelation? That this Jesus Whom he persecuted (i.e. against his followers) was alive from the dead & speaking to him from Heaven. So Paul's letters to the Churches were not from his own private thoughts & interpretations; He was a strict Pharisee would couldn't divert from the Law - not until He met the risen Christ, the fulfilment of that Law.
b. Mt 5:17-19. Another clear Scripture showing that the Law was good but people, as sinners, could never keep it. So Jesus said that He came to fulfil the Law, not to destroy it. What do you make of that statement? Remembering that Jesus' coming was still in the period of the Old Covenant (i.e. of Law), so He could speak of the worth of the Law (v 19), but also to say (v 20), that "on top of it, your righteousness must exceed that of the Pharisees (who were known to be sticklers for the Law plus adding many of their own)". Was this possible? Jesus knew that man could never gain acceptance to Heaven based on the obedience of the Law; so He said that He came to fulfil the Law. So how did He fulfil the Law? I'll let you give me your answer.
c. I will leave off quoting the Pauline epistles, as you have turned your ear against them & the other epistles. But you ask: "But is it really true that the death of Jesus on the cross is the only way of salvation?" Have a look at Jn 14:6; 10:11-18; Mt 20:28; Mk 10:45; Jn 6:33. All these passages speak of Jesus laying down His Life. But I hear you say that they don't have the words "way of salvation". Then it would show that you do not really want to understand Jesus' prime purpose of coming; all these verses show that He came to die so that man might have a new life in Heaven & not go to Hell.
Yasser, your comments are interesting to the point that it has me guessing as to your religious position. If you are part of the other two monotheistic faiths, I can understand your questions. But if you are of a Christian background, then please say so, as you seem to have knowledge of the Scriptures, but you appear to contradict everything that God had planned & set in motion from beginning of time to the coming of His Christ.
However, I will answer your last comment to me, but not quoting from the Epistles.
a. Mk 10:17-19. The man obviously obeyed all the Ten Commandments & Jesus was pleased about that. However, Jesus knew that the man actually trusted in his wealth more than God (v 24). So what is Jesus telling him here? The bottom line was that he actually broke the first Commandment, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me". This man probably didn't have idols in his house, but his love & trust in his wealth proved otherwise. One reason for giving the Law to Israel was to show them that they could never obey it fully. This is a reason why the Jewish leaders hated Jesus so much: He exposed their sin (i.e. outwardly they showed obedience & piety, but inwardly they were wicked - they could fool the people, but couldn't fool God with their hypocrisy).
Each day we walk through the Bible. Isaiah, the great old testament evangelist I ever saw talks about the final judgement in his last chapter. In the New Testament we now refer to Mark 7:15 for your answer.
What we eat and goes through our stomach doesn't defile us. It is what comes out of us, from the heart, that defiles us.
So if you enjoy bacon have an extra piece!
Have you seen the videos of Coke being poured over raw pork? Quite gross. Just ensure you cook your pork thoroughly.
Scientists study and alter both in their labs. And hide what they do. It's all being done to create a vaccination (a tree of health)
But it's an abomination what they do and want to do to us by making us take these vaccines.
Don't read horoscopes!
See death penalty in the Bible for doing it.
