S Spencer on Hebrews Ch 6 on Jeremiah 11:3 - 3 years ago
PG 1.
Lets start with Hebrews 6:4-6 with the view you can loose your salvation.
4: For it is ""impossible"" for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
5: And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6: If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
That sounds like they're saved right? Right.
So if you read that verse carefully with the mind you can loose your salvation "you got one shot at it!!" ( For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened....) ( If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance;...)
You can take this passage and say if you were saved and some how stumbled "a small lie, got angry, ect.." it is impossible to renew you to repentance!! your forever Lost!! Read it again with the view you can loose your salvation.
That does not sound right so now take the passage with the view you cant loose your salvation and say these people was not really saved, "The Calvinist view"
It seems they suffer the same fate! Whether professors or not 'they were once enlightened'.
It is "Impossible" ( for those who were once ""enlightened,"" and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance;...)
The unsaved premise seems to also fails. they also got one shot!
I believe the writer is writing to believers, he addresses them that way in Ch 3:1. "Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling",
I don't think this is talking about salvation at all, it don't say renew them again to salvation, it say repentance. The writer is writing to the Hebrews and urging them to maturity, the burden of the writer is not to return to Judaism. Legalism, them becoming fruitless.
Man can avoid the curse that is pronounced on him by keeping GOD'S WORD ( DEUTERONOMY 11:26-27 KJV). Keeping THE WORD OF GOD is therefore a wise decision because it comes with a blessing.
If we look at what is happen right now today, how the whole world is being afflicted with this virus is God telling the world that He is now happy with our leaders today and His people. the sin of the world has reached to the heaven, America was build on God word and now America has turn it back on God, we have sin and activate a curse that is attach to the sin.
We're doing the same thing as forefather has done, we need to ask our self when are we going to wake up and see that God is not playing around, it's not one nations but the whole world, we have to many idol in our life and need to focus on the Lord.
Above JEHOVAH, GOD reviewed the contract between HIM and the people, because the people have been found to haves shamefully broken the contract between them and GOD. Therefore GOD is going to pass judgement on the people because the contract contain the penalty be paid if the people broke the contract and the rest is history..... 2020 is a repeat of all of the above therefore all mankind is found guilty again. Nevertheless there is still another personal contract I and you can enter into with GOD if we choose to, it is John 3:16-21. Thank GOD for HIS MERCY.
The tribe of Judah Yahudah is still spread out through the 4 corners of the earth and many of them do not know who they are.....Most of them went into captivity during the Arabic slave trade and the Atlantic Slave trade.....
I feel God 's pain and I search myself hoping I am not doing anything against God or His people to cause Him to have such anger with me. To cause Him to feel I am worshipping other gods. I want to be Holy I want to obey and I want to live so that God can use me at any given time and so that every time He sees me He smiles. I know I have in the past but I no longer want to cause God embarrassment, grief, pain or anger. I love God. I need Him.
Judgment is coming upon disobedience: following after strange gods and not the living true God. God said don't even pray for them, I will not hear your prayer. It was judgment time, they were given time and warnings to repent and do what Jeremiah told them to do but they refused.
All People is divided up in one of three categories.
Gentiles.
Jews.
The Church.
No matter what color you are you fit into one of those categories.
You are brothers and sisters to your neighbor in each group. ( No matter the color.
The Gentiles and in some ways the Jews function in a way of division. But the true believers in the Church don't.
