Zedekiah was a man that feared for his life instead he should have been fearing God bc at the end if we don't repent and come back to Christ we are doomed anyway. Bc God is the only one that can save of from our enemies.
Every once in a while a man or a woman comes along in the which we don't give enough thanks too because we don't hear much more about them. Ebedmelech is one of these. May I see him in heaven to thank him for his good deed he did to Jeremiah for pulling him from the dungeon.
Zedekiah just a man, who was filled with fear. Fear the enemy of mankind, which is men sins. Fear is False Evidence Against Reality. We should never fear men or what men say they can or will do to us. If we are truly God children then we are not to fear anyone but God. The fear of God, is the beginning of understanding who God really is in our lives. Ask yourself, who do you fear man or God.
"We beseech thee, let this man be put to death: for thus he weakens the hands of the men of war that remain in this city, and the hands of all the people, in speaking such words unto them: for this man seeks not the welfare of this people, but the hurt." Many, many Patriots will have a problem with accepting and submitting to God's punishment upon the Nation, and will likewise seek to kill us.
Hi Amy; I see many similarities between Jeremiah's times, and ours today. The transgressors come to the full without restraint, and it seems like no remedy remains; but for God to give them up to their own ways, and allow them to do all that they have ever imagined to do. Like Jeremiah; our words and our ways are given to us from God in Jesus' name, to be His faithful witnesses up to the end.
In verse 4-6 we see how Zedekiah gave in to fear of man and allowed opposers to throw Jeremiah into a muddy cistern to die. We never want to allow fear of men to control our actions.

King Zedekiah reminds me of Nicodemus who came secretly to Jesus. It is wonderful how God protected Jeremiah many times, even keeping him from being captured by the Babylon army. Things go better for us if we keep the commandments diligently. God is able to protect us then.
Is this not the chat Pilate had with Jesus in private and Pilate believed in him for Pilate was delivered on that day for he confessed his sins to jesus....all people must pray for deliverance Isis..they and others are evil and those they kill are indeed DELIVERED...a tip for reading...read the bible slowly and PRONOUNCE every word especially the small words...example..in...at...by..all the words are important
WE MUST KEEP A SPIRITUAL EYE WHEN THE LORD COME TO DELIVER US OUT OF PROBLEMS MAY NOT LOOK LIKE MUST IS HAPPENING IN A NATURE EYE BUT THE LORD IS MOVING ON OUR BEHALF WE MUST LIVE HIS SALVATION
