I believe we are to go directly to the Lord with our prayers. Our Father, placed within all Christians a helper: Holy Spirit that has many gifts that can intercede on our behalf. I know Saints are in many of the KJV books. I wonder if praying to Saints is a form of an idol? I am not sure. Saint's roles are to sing hymns, play instruments, make requests to Christ and offer prayers on our behalf. It's a good question. I'm perplexed but would love to know what additional information you acquire on the topic...

Where may I find information on the saints? How was a saint made a saint? Do we pray to the saints? Which ones?

    It is the prophet speaking.

That's not a stupid question Kathy, as quite often when a prophet of God makes an utterance, he does so as he hears God speak to him, or he is moved in spirit, or even by a vision, and sometimes all of these are mixed in together within the chapters.

Here in Jeremiah 4:23-26, we read the words, "I beheld". And this tells us that Jeremiah was given a vision of impending disaster so it was Jeremiah himself that made these utterances. A disaster so great, that it would be likened to the state of the Earth before God made it habitable for living creatures ( Genesis 1:2). And then the LORD speaks in verse 27, "For thus hath the LORD said (speaking of the coming judgement), The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end." Even though the Earth (the land that Judah inhabited) will be destitute of vitality, of light, & of living creatures, God would not annihilate it altogether. For one day in the future, Judah would return to their land.

I thank Yahawah bahasham Yahawahshi for helping me to see the real truth because when I was into the christianity doctrine , there was just so many contradictions and I was seeing way to many red flags . but ever since I found the brothas of GMS , who are of the true Isrealites , they helped me to open my eyes and its great that my spirit caught on to it because it makes my chances better of being one of the most highs elect . I at least pray that im one of his elect ! but I just want to give all praise to Yahawah bahasham Yahawahshi and shalawam to the house of Isreal

All the above GOD guaranteed would come to past and it did. 2020 GOD again shout the above to us through the entire BOOK of REVELATION, but we are so drunk on education, jobs, 401k, vacations, birthdays, NBA, NFL, face book, etc, drunk to the point these mention are now idols and we wrongly indulge in them to the degree we do not see the HAND WRITING ON THE WALL as in the BOOK of Daniel..... that night as the party was in high gear the city failed.

The awakening of true Israel is on the world. Those who know and recognize it needs to be bold and share it with others. Jesus will return and gather His people. Thank God for the grafting in but He hasn't forgotten His dispersed children all over the world. Jeremiah 23:1-8

  • Lydia Williams on Jeremiah 4 - 7 years ago
I think Jeremiah was called to do a job back then that is still relevant today. God has shown in his word how much he loves us and don't want us deceived to turn away from Him. Like then, he has sent many to warn us of that danger. The best part is, he has given us the power to choose our own destiny. He never gave up on us and He never will. Will we give up on him? Choose life over death, peace!

Jer. 4 is ALL about - our repentance and being saved; for newcomers and backsliders. has NOTHING to do with how the earth was divided in Pelegs day.

And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here! And Jesus said unto them, Seest thou these great buildings? For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ and shall deceive many. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. Take heed that no man deceive you. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. See ye not all these things? Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there believe it not. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. I am your sign: The days are at hand, and the effect of every vision. For I am the LORD: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass it shall be no more prolonged: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord GOD. Verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord GOD.

Jeremiah 4:7 The lion is come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the Gentiles is on his way he is gone forth from his place to make thy land desolate and thy cities shall be laid waste, without an inhabitant. "This prophecy is sent by commandment of God Almighty. Read and retain for reproof, instruction and your salvation. The following events mark world descent into spiritual damnation, or hell: the Syrian President will visit the United States for what appears to be a diplomacy visit. During the visit, the US will experience large-scale blackouts, particularly in the northeast, coastal and metro areas. Soon after, during the blackouts, the LORD JESUS CHRIST will save the faithful, children, teens, the destitute and others from around the world. Immediately proceeding this event, US coastal cities and military bases, beginning with NY, will fall under nuclear attack from Russia, China and others. Cities will lay desolate with the remaining people devastated and the world in chaos. Anarchy, famine, enslavement and horrible deaths will ensue. Repent and ask JESUS to save you from this hell. Acts 2:21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved."

THIS CHAPTER SPEAKS ON WHY THE PEOPLE OF THE SLAVE TRADE THAT ARE SCATTERED ACROSS THE WORLD WERE ENSLAVED. YAHUAH SENT PROPHET AFTER PROPHET AND THEY WOULD NOT OBEY TO RETURN TO HIM AND LEAVE OTHER NATIONS IDOLS AND GODS ALONE. SO HE PUT THEM INTO A LONG CAPTIVITY THATS COMING TO AN END. TODAH YAHUAH!!!!!!! SHALOM
  • RNM JER 4-------2 on Jeremiah 4 - 9 years ago
Going off these old comments, I think we just need to interject some sense, first off, ver.9 it says: And it shall come to pass AT THAT DAY. is usually speaking of the Coming of the Son of God in his Glory and the Glory of the Father and His Angels. There are other references in the bible to this, being a catastrophic worldwide event, all flesh being destroyed like in the flood, except for the children of God that make up the Bride of Christ. The chosen of God. and what I 'm going to say next will offend some who read this but, The Obedient Ones, that 's what makes them different. It is those who believe and live by all ten commandments, including the fourth which is the the 7th day Sabbath, it is the same commandment that the Israelites, perished in the wilderness because of there unbelief. I John 14:15-If you love me, Keep my Commandments. And that 's what He means. AMEN!!

Mesopotamia was coming to perform the Lord's judgement on Judea and remove it's citizens, tear down the houses of the affluent and, the walls around Jerusalem and destroy the Temple of the Lord. The Lord stopped the rains so the land became desolate and dried-up. It became desolate and was compared to the disarray of Gen. 1:2-3.
  • Larry Falzitto on Jeremiah 4 - 11 years ago
We should interject Jeremiah 4: 23-26 in between Genesis 1:2 and 1:3! Then take a good long studied look at what it now states! And after doing that, take a good very long studied look into the new discoveries and fact being dug up of the last decade, concerning the destruction of earth by a comet that broke into many pieces(the instrument of God's judgment!)that happened back before and during the Younger-Dryas event of 12,900 years ago! That's what I think. There is a 'gap' between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2 but it is not billions, millions or even 100's of thousands of years, but rather only a few thousand, and the recreation from the damage caused by the comet, took God only SIX literal days to restore! That's what I think. God bless!

This is the 1st Earth Age,
    Genesis 1:1-2
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Our Father didnt create nothin "Void" this word was means became that way.
To understand our Fathers 7 thousand year plan, one must understand the 3- Earth Age's

The 1000 years is for teaching.the Elect are Priest and teach. Know one, not even the wicked die until the Great White Throne judgment. The wicked maybe in a pit. But after the 1000 years satan will be let out as lucifer the created man and even then it says that some will follow him into the fire. They get lied to again by a man lucifer and they Don't think they will lose. They do! Now in Revelation the acting roll and the power given the false prophet go into the fire but satan goes into the pit until that short season.
  • Garyloyd on Jeremiah 4 - 12 years ago
Catharine this says in verse 22 my people, that's all. That and in the Hebrew it says at this flood God took the Earth and submerged it in the water and washed it top to bottom, turned it like a bowl. Here the waters where gone! As with in Noahs flood the waters receeded as a normal flood would do. Noahs flood with Boat and two of every flesh and a bird and trees were about. I'm pretty sure that Noahs flood was targeted to get rid of a bunch of bad angels trying to disrupt Gods plans. The 6th of Genesis speaks of these angels who left their first estate. Fallen sons of God and it will be like this in the end times with the locust coming. If you go and google search the companion Bible appendixes you can scroll down to appendix #146 and see of the different worlds or ages we will live in.(ge) beatiful green and the katabole or attempted overthrow by satan wanting and trying to steal Gods throne. This age ended with this flood, God got mad because we were stupit.

It's my understanding that this chapter is God emphasizing the fact that he has distroyed this earth once before(in the first earth-age) and, in essence, he's not afraid to do it again

Jeremiah 4:23-27 speaks of an earth that was created
and destroyed before the present earth in Genesis
1 was created and there's a well known Preacher on
the TV that agrees with me
  • Catharina on Jeremiah 4:23 - 13 years ago
I belief that this scene will be reality at the end of the tribulation when Jesus and the Father will gather his elect to take them to heaven to be with them for the 1000 years and the earth is in absolute ruins and empty of the wicked people who perished at that time.
