I totally agree with you . There are no such things as human rights , only blessing and gifts and loving kindnesses from God our Father .

We must be careful in how we regard our service to the Lord. As we learn to walk and trust in the Lord God through His word, remember that all good things originate from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Before we start to expect things are due us because of what we do, or what position we hold: God always knows best. Like the old time tv series "Father knows Best." I just dated myself - LOL

Baruch felt he was due better things instead of being dragged around the country side with the remnant that remained in Jerusalem. After all he was the personal scribe to the prophet. He knew the prophecies given to be true and will come to pass. He just thought he should be treated better.

We as believers of Christ the Lord are not entitled to anything. Galatians 2: 20; Colossians 3: 1-3 We have the privilege to seek the wisdom of the Lord God and worship at His feet. We know what the Lord is fully capable of doing and giving. 2 Cor 10: 5 By filtering our thoughts in the Word of God, I can rejoice in Him, be at peace, and have comfort even though we are going through this current Pandemic, Ukraine - Russian war, supply hick ups; soaring gas/oil prices. Philippians 4: 6-10

No matter what happens we can be assured of our salvation in Christ Jesus if we believe and trust in the Gospel. Luke 10: 20; 1 John 5: 11-15. We have confidence in the Lord.

The only solution before us is the salvation of the leaders of world. 1 Timothy 2: 1-4 "...that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty." We must continue to carry out God's will for us. Matthew 28: 18-20.

May the peace of God shine on all on this forum. Know the Lord Jesus Christ, know Peace. No Lord Jesus Christ, no peace. Praying for all as we have the occasion to do so.

Praise His Holy name. March 10, 2022

As is always the case, The Lord's Grace is sufficient. I know how Baruch feels, we all desire peace and comfort. Yet, The Lord requires endurance of Faith in Him. May Jesus give us always that strength to remain faithful, not of our work, but of His Grace.

The chapter above; Baruch / we refuse to hearken to GOD's WORDS thereby sin. Then we 'stand-firm' in our sin we sinking even deeper into sin; sin always produce a negative consequences even to the point of causing death, and Jehovah / GOD is both JUDGE and JUROR. Thank GOD for forgiveness of sin, and SALVATION, Both through the BLOOD OF THE LAMB. WOW! WOW! WOW!

"The LORD saith thus; Behold, that which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up, even this whole land; and seekest thou great things for thyself? seek them not: for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the LORD: but thy life will I give unto thee for a prey in all places whither thou goest." The LORD wants us to be without care for the times.

"Thou didst say, Woe is me now! for the LORD hath added grief to my sorrow; I fainted in my sighing, and I find no rest." It is natural to desire the necessary comforts of life; good health, safety, peace, quiet and happiness in one's family and at work, etc. But instead we are seeing ourselves more and more closed in on every side with threats and danger, crime and lawlessness, and no judgment.

thanks so much for the opportunity to comment on the subject in question.
Children of the world have their free will to enjoy in this life but eventually end up in mess. whereas God's children go through tough times. that's where Baruch found himself. so God showed him how better the end will be in order to endure for eternity.

Again, as always in scripture, blessing to the obedience, but curse to the disobedient proud and wicked.
