Job Chapter 11 Discussion

Stop complaining to yourself because you like to hear yourself. Stop asking God what the sin is and just repent. This is basically what Zohar said to Jobs (Jobes).

In Job 1:6-12, God had limited Satan's thrusts against Job only to his livestock, servants & family. Job's life was to be untouched, but sadly, all his possessions & family were wiped out by outside forces instigated by Satan.

In Job 2:1-8, God had allowed Satan to touch Job's life (with boils) but not to take his life away.

Job according to Job 1:8 was considered a righteous man by God: "And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?" Satan, wanting to make God out to be a liar, wanted to test Job's mettle & show that Job would ultimately reject God if he & his family were sorely affected. God had great confidence in His servant.

In Job Chapter 1 and 2, Satan challenged the LORD regarding Job:

And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life. But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face. And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life. ( Job 2:4-6)

In John 8:44 Jesus said, "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it."

Perhaps if the LORD had not restrained Satan, he would have murdered Job. God had a better end in mind for Job after his trial, at the end of the book.

why did God tell satan not to touch Jobb's soul?

this verse is an encouragement to all people no matter what the age. living by faith no matter what the age, or, no matter how many times you repeat a process it will be done with enthusiasm and vigour. faith in what is not seen is the key

the pain and sorrow that you had will be gone an you will not remember it again. the only thing you will remember is how the lord brought you out

I think Job 11:6 is abundantly mysterious and complex, and appears to have many layers of hidden meaning, as I think there is a lot more to this passage than what can be casually observed in the plain text. The exclamation point at the end of the first sentence is a clear sign that God is trying to get our attention.

The second sentence seems to indicate that we are indeed fortunate to be allowed to know some of the Lord's secrets, considering that we can barely comprehend the extent of our own imperfections.

This is my best verse in the whole of the Bible thus far, it teaches us that when we leave all our sins behind we will become invincible.

WHAT I GET FROM THIS IS THAT NONE IS WORTHTY IN FRONT OF GOD. WE MUST STAY HUMBLE AND PRAY, AND KNOW THAT GOD WILL ANSWER US IN HIS WAY & TIME. IT"S HARD WHEN TROUBLE COMES, BUT FAITH MUST SET IN.

i think jophar was annointed by holyspirit and advising job of their sons sins and job judging others for their sins while his own sons doing sins, he cannot stop them.so he was told be frank in what he thinks .if it is wrong please clarify. thanq

Many people are quick to judge others who are going through trials by saying they have done something sinful to deserve their folly. While sinful deeds often do bring a fall, sometimes we have to endure things so that God can be glorified through us. This was the case with Job, he persevered through his trials. It huts when others judge, but that too is part of our trials. We don't just learn from them, so do those closest to us.

Zophar's speech shows that he is not listening to Job and is inattentive to Job's real situation. The other false comforters have offered Job the empty plattitudes of faith, only implying that Job deserves what he suffers; Zophar takes the next step and rebukes Job for lying about his innocence. Even though the comforters spout the orthodoxy of the Old Testament, they are empty vessels.
