Now i am convince the Holy spirit is not an active force as taught by JEHOVAH WITNESSES but a person since such words as whom and he are used for the Holy spirit and in 1john 4:4, there, *he* is also used when refering to the holy spirit living in us. Thanks. Akanimoh-Nigeria.
  • Paulinus A.Effiong on John 14:6 - 11 years ago
jesus is the mediator, the link between GOD and man.without christ the wrath of GOD would have consumed man for time immemorial.therefore christ is even more than the way, but also the great redeemer.
  • Gabriel on John 14:12 - 11 years ago
I believe that Jesus is reminding believers of the potential for greater works either in the Apostolic realm or day-to-day working environment.
  • Anonymous on John 14:27 - 11 years ago

I consider the Holy Bible to be my road map to Heaven, if I read it daily and keep His commandments it will lead me from earth to Glory.

  • Genevieve on John 14:6 - 11 years ago
Jesus is the son of God and was sent by God to make a way for us to our Eternal Home... So Jesus says I am the Way the truth and the life.. That is when we go his way we then know the truth which sets us free and then we shall have life in abundance. Jesus is the only way to the father...
  • Dolores Rabe on John 14:27 - 11 years ago
I think those are just about some of the Best verses in the Bible! Yes, all that Peace from Jesus, Our Lord! Yes, it is so good, thanks~
  • AGNES on John 14 - 11 years ago
HE, wants you to have the faith of a mustard seed in faith and don't doubt God's WORD by worrying about problems that can only be handeled by GOD. In other words, WHAT A PRIVILEDGE TO TURN MY BURDENS OVER TO GOD, so I can continue to live peaceful, happy, and joyful as a father wants his child to live, along with a peaceful and kind heart. Rember, it is said 27 time in the Bible, by Jesus, ASK AND YE SHALL RECEIVE
  • Scott on John 14 - 11 years ago
When He is referring to his father he is talking roles. Father in creation, Son in redemption, Holy Spirit in Salvation. If you dont read the bible with the The Holy Spirit you will miss it. God has revealed this not to intellectuals but to babes in Christ. 1 Colossians tells us the Jesus was the first born of all creatures everything that was made was made by HIM and for Him. When the Holy Spirit moved on Mary and Jesus was conceived How can the Father be his Father is the Holy Spirit and The Father is not the Same. Simple Truth you have to know Who God(Jesus)is now that is Truth.
  • Gerald F Adkins, Sr on John 14:27 - 11 years ago
I believe it signifies GOD's earnest desire for us to no longer be concerned about our standing with Him. He has done what needed to be done for us to be forgiven and now we must believe and work out our soul salvation thru faith and works displaying that faith in action, Much love!
  • Peter on John 14:6 - 11 years ago
God created the whole universe. Scientist say Big Bang created the whole universe.

God created man. Scientist say we evolved from apes. Then who created apes? Current answer is Big Bang!

    What happens when we die?

I believe in John 14:6, that Jesus is the Son of God.
  • Joseph Gastelum on John 14 - 11 years ago
    Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. AMEM! The Comforter abides with me! (the Holy Spirit) which is Christ. Father=Lord Son=Jesus Holy Spirit=Christ. Yet a little while and the world seeth me no more but ye shall see me. In that day you shall know that I am in the Father and the Father In Me and I in you and you in Me. GLORY!!!
  • Tsebiso on John 14 - 11 years ago
The bible here tells us that God is with us, Because we heard the words which Jesus Christ spoke to his Desciples i qoute I will send u the comfoter( helper), which is the Holy Spirit, meaning that let us know tha God is with us in every situation and He said he never fails and never would, Blessed be the name of the LORD. Amen.
  • Margie on John 14 - 11 years ago
There are many verses in the Bible in which it is undeniably made clear;that Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh. It is my prayer that everyone who reads the book of John will confirm this for themselves.Right here in this chapter verses7-9 confirms it .However John chapter 12 verse 40 I hope will explain why some people may not be able to see it or understand it. Been there done that.In this case you have to ask God to reveal it to you and help you to understand it. John 12-40 He hath blinded their eyes, and hardend their heart, that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.
  • Henriette on John 14 - 11 years ago
I like the confirmation we get from verse 14 that Jesus is not equal to his Father...Jesus says "my father is greater than I"
  • Carol on John 14:2 - 11 years ago
I am so thankful for my life, if it had not been for God and Jesus I would not be here, I hope one day to stand face to face with both and thank them in person for all I have had from both. I was wondering how in the world can anyone not believe just look around you and see the earth and the wonders of our Heavenly Father. God thank you for all.
  • Rosalyn on John 14:2 - 11 years ago
Today as well as every day I am so happy that God thought enough of us to send his only son to this sinful world. Thank God that Jesus cared enough to go back and prepare a place for us, no matter how we treated him then and now. I repent again lord.
  • Bongiwe Ntaka on John 14 - 11 years ago
When we are obedient to His commands and keep them inside our hearts we shall receive the love and the favour, not only from Jesus, but from the father as well. in verse 6 Jesus says "..I am the way and the truth and the life.." and in verse 7, he confirms that what he has said in verse 6 last part. without knowing Him, you will never know the Father because you can only go to the father through Jesus (authority). Lets draw near to Jesus, let's love the one and only who paid for our sins and the father will manifest Himself to us..Amen
  • Larry on John 14 - 11 years ago
Martha & Lincoln, thank you for your comments. What I originally wondered can be seen by starting at the beginning of the Chapter & then reading the answer Jesus gives to Thomas: Does He mean that a man who comes unto the Father is WITH the Father? I believe the answer is yes, & that it really cannot be any clearer.
  • Lincoln on John 14:6 - 11 years ago
It really can not be any clearer, Jesus is the only way to Father God, you must accept Christ Jesus as your Lord and Saviour to have life (spiritual life) and this is a Spiritual Truth.
Without Christ as our Lord and Saviour we are subject to Satan and death (spiritual death)
  • Martha Prince on John 14 - 11 years ago
@Larry...read 1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

I believe this is telling us that Jesus is our intercessor. He bridges the gap between us and the Father!
  • Larry on John 14 - 11 years ago
I wonder if Jesus meant precisely what He said in verse 6? Does He mean that quite literally a person comes to the father only by Him, or to put it another way, when a person travels via Jesus that person comes into the presence of the father? Like, as in heaven? Is this what it says? If not, why not?
  • Joycelyn taylor on John 14:6 - 11 years ago
Not only did jesus say I am the way the truth and the life no man cometh to the father but by me. this lines up with John 10:9 where jesus says Im the door by me if any man enter he shell be saved and go in and out and find pasture. Also John 6:44, Mark 16:16,and Acts 2:38 So through his resurrection [JESUS] We live through baptism in the name of jesus christ we die to sin. Rom 6:6 Rom 14:7 Gal 2:20 And 2Cor 5:15 never forget Eph 5:2 therefor as 2Cor 2:14,15.
