Our old Adamic nature is made white at repentence but in time he returns to sin,he answers to the dog that returns to his vomit and the sowe that returns to her mud,but that good seed the living word forms Christ in us that cannot fallaway,Gods word cannot return unto him void they have to prosper in what they were sent to do which is eternal life thus ya cannot fallaway simply b/c of GODS WORD GB

That Gods Love Is so devine, that even when he thought we were lost, he agreed to send his first son, to this earth, to bleed and die, for someone like you and I. so that we might Live and serve! Praise God, for his blood makes us what we ought to be! His power, cleans the heart and makes us Free!! Praise God almighty!
  • BSP on John 3 - 6 years ago
Jehovah God gave his firstborn son so that we could gain everlasting life. This was the greatest expression of his love and we should show our appreciation of this precious gift.
  • Rai on John 3 - 6 years ago
We wont enter the Kingdom of God unless we are born in water and spirit. This verse is more challenging .Accept Him as our personal Lord and Savior and be baptize.
    John 3.5

    34. For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.
  • Alex on John 3 - 6 years ago
When Isaiah saw the kingdom coming n 9 v 6 he says unto US a CHILD is born unto US a SON is given,That women in Rev 12 is US th world where that good seed will be sown. Jesus said the FIELD wd be the WORLD where that good seed/WORD wil be PLANTED ,Thats y the prophets saw the WORLD THAT WOMAN (US) IN TRAVAIL AND BIRTH PAINS,Thats y he always refers to himself as the SON OF MAN,OUR FRUIT UNTO GOD.

Eutychus; In support of HD, your ideas about what Born of water means miss the spiritual point of the entire narrative in John 3. The water refers to the "washing of water by the Word." Which is what is meant by being "born from above," cleansed and BORN ANEW. Using natural human thinking is not the way to understand spiritual things; nor does God's word need man's science to prove it.
  • H.D. on John 3 - 6 years ago
Eutychus your interpretation of water baptism is extremely unlikely. Within the CONTEXT of John 3, It would be very strange way to describe the natural birth, especially since this usage does not appear elsewhere in Scripture or in ordinary speech. Jesus specifically informed Nicodemus that the new birth was a birth of water and Spirit, not a natural birth or amniotic birth. John 3:3,5
  • Eutychus on John 3 - 6 years ago
Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Man must first be born of water (the amniotic fluid in the womb..for that which is born of the flesh, is flesh), then, of the Spirit..without these two events in life, there is no saving.
  • Barbara Gaytan on John 3 - 6 years ago
I believe that god gave his son to save us from sin and he died on that rugged cross to save us from hell! That's how much he loved us to die for us so why do we not live for him? I love him with all my heart soul body mind and spirit! He's my best friend that never left me when my earthly friends did. He's my everything!
  • A disciple on John 3 - 6 years ago
Stand a man; you wrote: "What sins each of us may or may not be guilty of is irrelevant..." That is completely contrary to all that God teaches and commands us, to REPENT of sins and forsake idols! Jesus has broken the chains that held us under bondage to sin, and gives us the light of life and His Spirit to grow in grace and knowledge of Him. Sin is MOST RELEVANT for it will deceive and destroy!
  • Alex on John 3 - 6 years ago
Dis. All johns disciples had to be rebaptised with the H.G. IN ACTS 17 JESUS DISCIPLES HAD TO SHOW JOHNS DISCIPLES A MORE PERFECT WAY, John himself asked jesus saying I have NEED to be BAPTISED of YOU .John said behold the lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the world. not h20.All of the disciples had been water baptised but jesus tells them if i wash thee not you will have no part with me.
  • A disciple on John 3 - 6 years ago
Stand a man; if as you say, everyone who doesn't believe in Jesus is evil; what does that make the one who tells the unbeliever or unclean, "Stand by yourself, away from me; for I am holier than thou!" The difference between the one who comes to the light, and those who don't; is that our deeds may be manifest; that we give an honest accounting to God, like Abel; and show God our trust in Christ!
  • A disciple on John 3 - 6 years ago
Alex; There is no competition between Baptism and the Cross! Neither Jesus nor any of the Apostles ever told anyone that had been Baptized by John, that they were in danger of forfeiting the benefits of His Redemptive Sufferings! If we are not Baptized into Christ, and into the Father, and into the Spirit; then we are none of His; and in no wise in a condition to be Baptized with fire and Spirit!
  • A disciple on John 3 - 6 years ago
Stand a man; I understand very much your enthusiasm; but you will find as you go on with the Lord, that there are some serious and important inconsistencies in your thinking just now. Jesus said to the disciple; those who forsook all and were following Him, and loved Him; If you then BEING EVIL know how to give good things to your children..." If we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves. HONESTY
  • A disciple on John 3 - 6 years ago
"That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life." What do we have to do then to "Believe" in Jesus? For many of us when we first get saved, we don't know a thing except that we have to repent of our sins and change our life by following Jesus with all our heart. What if someone's on their death-bed after a lifetime spent running behind other saviours and following other gospels "instead of" Christ and they cry out in torments and horrible fear of death and imminently God's eternal judgment and they cry to Jesus to save them? It's an awful risk to take, to wait till the very end and then in utter desperation hope that there's a God and a Jesus to help! The Lord said that He wouldn't turn anyone away who comes to Him with a good and honest heart and sincere repentance. So we hope for the best but take the precious Promise also as it is a most solemn warning for those who do not take a course in life, but think they can push it to the last minute. God have mercy on us all!
  • Standaman on John 3 - 6 years ago
People who reject Jesus are evil. People who accept Jesus are righteous. What sins each of us may or may not be guilty of is irrelevant. Evil people don't repent of their sins cause they are the real self-righteous hypocrites who don't want to admit they are evil. A righteous person admits he is evil and, therefore, repents and asks Jesus to forgive him and give him everlasting life.
  • Alex on John 3 - 6 years ago
Paul spoke of some that were perishing that was preaching the cross was foolishness, Thats the Water Baptism ppl. They are in essence saying the cross was just foolishness no need for the cross or the blood, Water baptism now saves you If you believe this you are gonna perish,Without the shedding of blood ( the cross ) there is no remission of sins, baptism of the H.G. is not necessary THEY SAY GB
  • Alex on John 3 - 6 years ago
Jesus tells his own disciples that had walked with him for 3.5 yrs and had been water baptised IF i wash thee not you will have NO PART with me which proves that jesus had another baptism in mind Which was baptism of the H.G. RESULTING FROM HIS MOUTH, HIS WORDS ETC,HE BREATHED ON THEM AND THEY RECEIVED THE H.G.At PENTACOST THE H.G. fell on them that heard THE WORD Which was baptism of the H.G. GB

Re: Kevin - If you TRULY Believed in Jesus you would "Want" To Obey Him. Jesus Is Not a liar. Jesus says in Mark16:16 He that "Believeth Is Baptized" Shall Be Saved. All who don't believe what Jesus says All who think He is a liar : May have Heard Of Jesus But they Don't Really "Know" Jesus. All who Dont "Know" Jesus: "Will" Hear Jesus say, I Never Knew You. Matt.7:21-23

Acts 2:38/ John 3:5 same thing I wish the denominational church would understand what Jesus and His Church taught.
  • A disciple on John 3 - 7 years ago
"Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." John 3:5 Why is it most often the case, that as soon as someone starts going to Church and listening to the popular "teachers and preachers" of the day that they all seem to lose their ability to think intelligently anymore? Nicodemus was the Teacher of Israel: how did he NOT know these things that the Lord was talking about? Was he a good and devoutly religious man? Yes! Undoubtedly! But while he was all busy and tangled up in the "traditions and norms" of Judaism, he had no room left to be open to the Spirit's inspiration for giving him even the fundamental understanding of the WHOLE CONTEXT OF THE SCRIPTURES. Consequently he was at a total loss and unable to grasp when the Lord spoke of even the most basic of spiritual truths.

Bruce and Mild Bill; All you say is true, but I don't understand why you always seem to want to find fault with me and twist my words! I forgive you, but you are really hurting yourselves! As for "No one being able to come to Jesus except the Father draw him;" that the Father doesn't draw them is His condemnation of their unbelief; John 3:17-19. God calls constantly to men to consider their ways.
  • Alex on John 3 - 7 years ago
About Jn 3/5 jesus said we must be bornagain of the water and the spirit thats simply his WORD the h20 of God Thats y he is saying you are made clean by the WORD signifing that the water of God is his WORD which is SPIRIT, THERE IS ONLY 1 VALID BAPTISM WHICH IS BAPTISM OF THE H.G. When jesus told the woman at the well of living water thats the Word not h20 TH H.G. FELL ON THEM THAT HEARD TH WORD.

God, through Peter on the day of Pentecost, gives us the instruction to salvation. In Acts 2:37, the people asked, "What must we do?" to be saved Then Peter answers in verse 38, Repent "and" be baptized "everyone" of you in the Name of Jesus Christ not father, son, holy ghost for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Have you obeyed Acts2:37,38?
